Surzycia has earned more starts even when Gaudreau comes back. He's been huge for this team over the last 7 games
That Romeo PK note interested me so I looked at the numbers:Instant validation for Seca with Kyrou. He was everywhere tonight. Man is he fun. Even after just 2 days with us I thought tonight he was way more calculated & smart with his pinches. Great puck movement & what wheels for his goal. Hopefully with 14 days off he gets chemistry with 36&96 & we can finally get a half decent power play out there. would make a gigantic difference. He's a game changer though.
Massive props to the PK lately. On more than one occasion this yr they've had to kill off PPs (5on3s too) to end regulation. Some awesome blocks, stick tie-ups & clears. Since Romeo's return it's been much better which tells u his worth.
Team was flat & on the verge of being blown out but Pastujov really got them going. drew a few penalties then a big goal to get us on the board. criminal he's not on USAs roster. But we will gladly take him. What a clinic Sikic & Lantz put on before the GWG. Well deserved G&A for them too. If only Sikic had ANY scoring touch the ending wouldn't of been so damn nerve wracking lol.
I owe Surzycia an apology as he's been awesome (outside 2or3 starts). Especially vs Flint & Barrie. With the lack of good backups I think we stick with him & honestly he's earned it. If Ben comes back & struggles again Nick should get more starts.
Enter the break winning 2 in a row & 3of4 with points in 6 of the final 8. Up to 38 points which currently is good for 4th, just 4 points back of 1st! And dare I say we finally.... are.... (hopefully I remember how to spell this)..... healthy????? Mast, Hoover should be back after the break then Ben & Sandis back after the WJCs! Gonna be a fun 2nd half.
As Ferda said time to cheer on Ben & team Canada before we finally see the red hot Knights. Been a lot of fun chats in this thread so far & hope y'all have a great Christmas & holiday season!
Nice to see I'm not a total idiot haha. Felt like a noticeable difference & it is. He's just so long. Breaks up a ton of passes. What a reclamation job by the staff. Went from complete disaster to steady T4, stud PKer.That Romeo PK note interested me so I looked at the numbers:
The Sting PK with Romeo in the lineup: 82.7%
The Sting PK without Romeo in the lineup: 70.7%
Huge difference!
Romeo is better when he's less noticeable. I think the coaching staff has done a really good job molding him into a physical shutdown d-man. Any offence from him (like tonight) is a bonus.Nice to see I'm not a total idiot haha. Felt like a noticeable difference & it is. He's just so long. Breaks up a ton of passes. Love the potential of our D when Mast is back. Top-5 of Mast/Kyrou/Ritchie/Romeo/Dillingham is very very good & deep.
Well look what the staff did with Kelton too….. maybe they can just develop those type of D. ????Nice to see I'm not a total idiot haha. Felt like a noticeable difference & it is. He's just so long. Kelton was a good OHL D and great hitter imo. Unfortunately his last name made him the target of everything wrong with the Sting at that time.Well look what the staff did with Kelton too….. maybe they can just develop those type of D. ????

Absolutely love stuff like this. Tells u a lot about a teams character. In all 3 wins vs Flint they've had to kill off late PPs (including a major + two separate 5on3s) & killed them off in large part due to stuff like this.
Love how excited the group was & appreciative they were of the PK guys & Surzycia. Can tell its a really tight group, especially with how often they've been sticking up for one another.

Hi again.Hello Sting fans
Tonight I am reaching out to the broader hockey family and communities not as a London Knights fan, but as a concerned human being. As you know, one of our Knights players died tragically this past Saturday. His friends, family and the community are devastated.
Please consider donating to the GoFundMe page set up by his family to help with the funeral arrangements.
Thank you

Hi again.
Seems the page has been taken down for some reason.
The Knights are checking into it with the family right now. Please stay tuned.
Hockey Canada really loves Ben tho from the U18’s and Milic was his backup there. I don’t think he needs to get a shutout, all depends on if he gets more shots and good scoring chances against than the Swiss did with milic. I think if Canada is challenged more by the Slovaks and Ben keeps it under 2 and doesn’t let any aweful or bad goals in it will still be tight. I guess whoever plays against Finland in the final exhibition game will be the starter.Gaudreau gets the nod vs Slovakia tonight. Should be a bit more of a test then what Milic faced vs the Swiss. I know HC has it's own formula they use for goalies or whatever, but you gotta think Ben will need to post a shutout as well to give himself a shot at getting game 1. Every number under the sun points to Milic being the better goalie though....will be interesting to see how this situation pans out.
