Guessing management thought Rielly would be the long term offensive LD and didn't see a situation with both Sandin and Rielly in the top 4.

Is it a 2023 first?

Sandin and Lilly were looking to build a solid pairing now and the future!

I guess Dubas/Keefe wants to tighten the D with McCabe and make it harder for the opponent.

The Leafs could squeeze ROR in next year with some cap work. OTOH, Meier? No f***ing way.

Possible but could also just be that he wants to make a pick in a very strong draft. If it is flipped I could see Kerfoot and a 1st for Garland half retained or something like that.
 
I really did enjoy Sandin’s game and growth. He’s got some great tools to be an effective blue liner.

I’ve been down on Rielly this year but I don’t know if Sandin ever becomes better overall.

Glad they have an asset back in the box, Sandin in the press box is a waste and probably doesn’t help anything.

I'd rather keep Kerfoot and the 1st imo and I've been wanting Kerfoot gone for a long time now.
