Ever since that game he has absolutely taken off and played fantastic hockey. It just occurred to me that Gustafsson is the Dman that scored a hat trick against us earlier this season lol

Clearing cap space, getting a similar/better D along with a 1st.
I'm not sleeping on anything.
He's no Liljegren.
I don't know what to tell you. Not sure why you're trying to derail this thread and bring up Tampa in the first place. You are entitled to your opinion just as I am mine. I am a very numbers heavy guy and Perbix grades out similarly to Liljegren and Cole grades out similar to Gio this year.Dive in for Tampa if you think Nick Perbix is as good as Liljegren, and you think that Ian Cole, Perbix, Fleury, and Bogosian is the defense of a cup contender.
He will play for us in his WAS jersey. He would never be suspended even if he smashes rat’s head into the ice and pushes Bergeron head first into the station.Would love Wilson on this team, but with the microscope we have on our team he’d get suspended faster than kadri ever did lol
I agree with this. It had to be done. He may turn out to be a good D Man but as we saw from the other trades he is now redundant. Replaced by men.sandin is our best LD WTF
Announcer: And now, for the Maple Leafs, number __, Tom Wilson...Would love Wilson on this team, but with the microscope we have on our team he’d get suspended faster than kadri ever did lol

I could be wrong, but I think Gustafson stays. I do not think that Keefe wants to play Timmins in the playoffs this year. (IMO he is a work in progress with a great future, but is not ready yet.)I could be wrong, but I don’t think Gustafson is here to stay
Sandin was blocked the rest of this year, and next year by McCabe and Gio. And he can't play the right.I don’t see in any way how Gustafson a multiple waiver wire pick up at 33 is as good as sandin.
Even IF that were the case. He is a ufa and like the 8th D.
I would have thought sandin would have had more value? Maybe a more fungible asset?
Bullshit. Absolutely hate this. God forbid you move Kerfoot. God forbid you move Engvall. God forbid you not only don't move Holl, but you take him out of a top four role.
That points are nice, but you have to look at him getting top offensive minutes when Carlson went out. Orlov was also hurt quite a bit. I like the move but have to look at these factors.38 points in 61 games this season, plays 20 mins a night runs their PP D numbers better than Rasmus and gets paid 800k
The heavy usage this season has greatly improved his defending as compared to prior seasons.....he's now average. That points are nice, but you have to look at him getting top offensive minutes when Carlson went out. Orlov was also hurt quite a bit. I like the move but have to look at these factors.
You could easily move Kerfoot or Holl to make cap room.
Yes. To 2nd line LW. lolSo are we flipping Gustafsson?
I wonder if we move Kerfoot+1st at the TDL for another impact forward with an offensive touch![]()
It's a LHD vs RHD thing.
McCabe added to the LHD so there's gotta be an odd man out. Holl's right handedness is what keeps him going here.
Adding Gustafsson to the mix makes no sense either.
Maybe. While I think he has his qualities, I also have to assume that his acquisition was secondary to that 1st round pick. I can't see him holding down a regular role in the top six if he does stick around. The reacquisition of Schenn also spells some degree of trouble for one of the RD holdovers as well IMO (won't be surprised if that ends up being Holl). So are we flipping Gustafsson?
