Another solid game from Sammy, keeps getting better and more comfortable. If he stays healthy he will be a very good bottom 6 for us.

Not sure if you're kidding but Betts was axtually not bad,I mean Moore, Fedotenko, Higgins, later Stalberg.... he produced very good checking lines. He's no Blair Betts
Higgins was such a disappointment. I was a Freddie Sjostrom fan too. I like having a guy with that extra gear on the bottom lines. Not sure if you're kidding but Betts was axtually not bad,I mean Moore, Fedotenko, Higgins, later Stalberg.... he produced very good checking lines.
Agreed on Carpenter. If he gets plucked off waivers it’s really no loss. I struggle to find anything particularly useful he does outside being a warm body. I have to think there are a few guys down in Hartford who could fill his role in a pinch. I don’t get the sense in not accruing the cap space and you know they aren’t moving Reaves.I like Blais a lot. I’d like Gauthier up with Kreider and Mika or Chytil. But Blais-Goodrow-Vesey/Reaves/Gauthier is a terrific fourth line.
Nothing against Carpenter but he doesn’t really do anything exceptionally well. I’d send him down to Hartford or let him go to a team that would give him regular ice time.
He is basically Rooney and I also wanted no part of Rooney. Nothing against him. I just didn’t see him as having any special skill. Just a seat filler. Fine as a spare but not a mainstay.Agreed on Carpenter. If he gets plucked off waivers it’s really no loss. I struggle to find anything particularly useful he does outside being a warm body. I actually thought Rooney was better, especially in his first 1.5 years here. Not that I’m pining for the days of Kevin Rooney, but I felt he had some uses. Carpenter is just kinda there. Your mouth to gods ears my friend…Rydahl will be a better option than Carpenter soon, if he's not already.

at this state of his career Carpenter is an extra forwardI like Blais a lot. I’d like Gauthier up with Kreider and Mika or Chytil. But Blais-Goodrow-Vesey/Reaves/Gauthier is a terrific fourth line.

I’m willing to give him one more season. I think we have to remember his knee was shredded. It was a truly dastardly, cynical act. He deserves a mulligan for this season. He's been one of the most disappointing Rangers that I've seen in awhile. Should definitely be jettisoned at the end of the year.
He's f***ing Greg McKegg all over again. Was hoping he would become a Matthew Barnaby, Todd Harvey, or Brandon Prust type player. By the looks of it, he is another Steve McKenna, Nick Kypreos, or Shayne Churla minus the fighting pedigree.
