Any decent team/coach puts rookies with veterans to help them gain confidence; the jackass we have has Knies-Minten going against NHL caliber players every night. They will lose their confidence this way. Its not the right way to develop young players who are not drafted as stars.

We should have had Nylander taking 3C reps in exhibition games, now he'll be figuring it out during the regular season when Minten inevitably gets sent down. This is what Matthews and Marner want, and Keefe has demonstrated time and again that he doesn't want to upset them. In any case, Marner is a notorious slow starter and I imagine we'll all be singing his praises again in a month.
