Hope he keeps it up lol.

Ik its still early, but our history of developing players had been disappointing. See virtually all the prospects on our team right now.

Honestly it is insane how efficiently Huberdeau and Barkov create chances. Bennett just needs to be the third man in behind Huberdeau and Duclair and the puck bounces to him. We have nobody who can create those initial chances and create slot opportunities for guys like Bennett and it impacts everyone

God's country just outside of Calgary
I wouldn't get too excited folks. Remember Mark Jankowski scoring a goal and 2 assists in his first two games with the Pens? He then went another 21 games before scoring another point. Not saying Bennett will be that bad... he is playing with better linemates than Janko but....

3 great games in a row now for Bennett and he’s being ultilized in an ideal scenario- next to a star winger, and with a star 1C taking all the tough matchups. Him continuing to be successful isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
I’ve watched Sam Bennett play 401 NHL games in my life...3 shouldn’t nor won’t change my opinion of him

Florida fans takes seem to be that Bennett rejuvenated both Huberdeau and Duclair, they were playing with Wennberg before who while isn't terrible, he's bit of a vanilla player.

18-year-old-Play-off-Sam-Bennett might be just what the doctor ordered for the Panthers second line.

Hubris is the reason for that, not sample size. You don’t want to change to your opinion.
No, no it is not. Logic and critical thinking rather than emotion and confirmation bias is the main reason. As if you’re arguing I should buy into a 3 game sample size lol

Do you think your post history is private? You’ve been trashing Bennett up until the moment he was dealt. Now you’ve got a different song to sing. Wonder why that is. Haven’t seen you in this thread before either.

I'm arguing that you're in denial about what this 3 game sample size could mean. Bennett no longer plays for the team you root for so why are you going to waste your effort supporting him, when its so much easier to rationalize to yourself that he sucked for the flames thus it must always be true.
I'm no psychiatrist but I think one would say your "opinion" is the manifestation of jealousy. It's like not wanting to see an ex happy in a new relationship, its a pretty natural emotion.

Maybe he has turned a corner. Players reviving their career on another team in a different situation is a common theme in the NHL, it happens frequently. Again, its just seems to me that Bennett succeeding is something you don't want to happen.

Where was I trashing Bennett? I honestly have never had a strong opinion on him (good or bad), and I'd be pretty surprised if any posts in my history contest that.

For the Flames he was a bottom 6 guy who had solid intangibles and a decent playoff performance track. I wouldn't argue anymore or any less. That doesn't mean that is what he has to be for the panthers, maybe they can find a 2nd line forward there, maybe not. 3 games is a small sample size for sure, but its more promising than if he had 0-1 points in 3 games, which is what would have likely have been the case if he remained on the Flames

Huberdeau was a ghost for the last 6-8 games. Something just clicked for him again after getting Bennett at center. Not just the points he's actually moving out there again. It was so bad we were sure he has some sorta injury
