I think that you are the top bidder for the Mem Cup. The other teams will have major question marks on their rosters but you guys should be outstanding next year.

Can you please trade Mintyukov to the 67’s now? They can give you lots of picks to use next year!
Give us Mews and then we ship you boatload of picks next season for Stonehouse. Sound good?

Haven't been to Saginaw since the pandemic. Does it have NHL glass? Upgraded scoreboard? Upgraded seating? How many boxes?

Got to catch the game on the way back home for thanksgiving. We did not deserve to win this game. Lennox made a couple unreal saves and stopped it from being a 5-3 flint win. Thank god Misa is who he is. Escape with the road 2 and move on.

I think you guys are the best bet to host. Not solely because of Misa (Tavares didn’t help the Generals bid for the ‘08 Memorial Cup) but because I think the OHL wants to get this thing across the border for a change. Plymouth was always urged by the league to bid but they never wanted to.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Josh Bloom spoke very highly about his time in Saginaw this week on the battalion podcast. You can find it on the battalion webpage.

Hard to lose our captain, however, DD and Lazary are a big part of why the praise, IMO. CL is one of the best coaches in the OHL. Bloom was a class act and leads by example. NB received an asset for their run, best of luck. Sag seems to have a bunch of guys who never give up and they really play as a TEAM. It will be interesting to see who stays and who is dealt. Minty is a hard one to trade but DD is in a spot. We need the assets we would acquire if traded. Then their is a team that is playing with confidence, healthy and competitive any other year maybe they would go all in.

Misa must be unbelievable. I want to get up there to see him.

Haven't seen much discussion about his actual play. How's his defense? Is his passing good? Does he win physical battles for pucks?

Looking at hockeydb, he has much better OHL numbers than McDavid did in his exceptional status age-15/16 year, That alone should get the attention of the entire hockey community.

Have seen him a few times: while I wouldn’t call him a two way player, he is defensively responsible. His vision/passing are top notch. Knows where guys are on the ice at all times. He does go into the corners to try and win puck battles but he also positions himself so that he doesn’t have to rely on winning them. The production is amazing. Honestly Lazary’s system is perfect for him to come into. It rewards players that are creative/have high hockey iq. When they’re in the offensive zone and moving the puck around, it’s so fun to watch. Lot of touch passes or cross ice stuff, player movement predicated on quality decision making. He’s gonna thrive here.

With Haight McNamara Sapovaliv Willis makes us strong down the middle for a couple years. Hill could be upgraded for this year's OA.
Minty gets a good prospect and 3-2nds and 3-3rds to replace the used picks. Also Lennox is playing very well and lands a few picks to add to Mintys.

Not sure about the Haight trade, is Saginaw going for the Championship this year or next year nope. Those picks could have been used to build around Misa or acquire players to win a Championship. This trade has everything to do with the mem Cup not future winning.

Next two seasons are the goal but Haight helps us now and next season as well. Helping your team now AND later don't have to be mutually exclusive.

What do think Haight is here for? Also we've already been over that Mintyukov will recoup assets. Saginaw doesn't need to add a ton next year but they will still have the ammo to if they get the bid.

The OHL's doesn't host until next year sooooo...Por que no los dos?

You think you are getting a player and 6 high end picks back for him? 😂 😂

Have you watched him play? The absolute minimum the Spirit should accept for him is a high-level 05 and 4 picks. If you can't get that, you're better off keeping him and going further in the playoffs because he's a difference maker.

We will see what Minty gets? What is your estimate for the best D in the league?
The best offensive defenseman in the league. Who’s surely a one and done and an import. If you’re getting a GOOD prospect in return you’re probably getting one less 2nd or a couple less 3rds I’d imagine. Nearly all the teams in contention have decent imports already you’d likely have to take and that would be figured into the return also possibly.
