Can anyone tell me where in the OHL website I can find all the teams Arena and the history of the team
Do a Wikipedia search of Ontario hockey league. Scroll down to member teams. Click on that. It will show each team. When you click on each team it shows the history of where each team came from and originated. For instance Saginaw originated in St Catherines to Niagara Falls to North Bay to Saginaw

Well they say series doesn’t really start until someone steals a game on the road. Spirit have a chance to put a choke hold on this series. But if the rumors about Flint’s health during games 1 and 2 are true, they may have a lot more life in them tonight. It’s a cliché but it will be imperative that we get out of the first 5/10 minutes without being down. I have a feeling the Firebirds are going to try and hit everything that’s moving. Try to get the crowd into it. We’ll have to keep the puck moving at all times and hope to draw some penalties due to Flint being a bit over zealous. Special teams have been big so far and I think we try to lean on that again. Going be interesting to see which version of Flint shows up tonight.

Right now, Spirit look pretty dominant. We have all the momentum. We’ll see what tonight brings.

That was more like what we all thought this series would be. Ammo is a special player and you can only hope to contain him for so long. Not surprised they stepped up with their back up against it. Could be right back to square one by the end of Wednesday.

I keep wanting to respond in the Flint page but they're just delusional living in the Flint Generals days. That other camera angle of the clip clearly showed Piercy not playing the puck and clearly shoulder-to-head on Zayne. In 1987 it might not have been a penalty but today it causes concussions and isn't a part of the game. I don't think he'll get suspended but he was shoving the linesman so that might cause it.

It’s interference at minimum. So we’re back to 4 on 4 and the game ends the same. The refs weren’t the ones that screwed up zone entry coverage. I’d be more upset at Bertucci for biting on the fake.

I’m not negating that there should be a penalty on the play or the fact that it was 4 on 4 when the goal was scored. I do however disagree with what was assessed and then the “make-up” call after to make it 4 on 4. My biggest issue with the refs (not just this series but others as well) is that they have missed so many calls. They have been horrible all season!

If they are missing them both ways, then they are consistent. They are consistently bad, but consistent. It’s a development league for refs too. These guys aren’t full time. They have day jobs. It can be frustrating but it’s the nature of the beast.

Apologies, that both ways should not have been in there and I’ll fix that. They are consistently BAD. A majority of the time they aren’t even seeing what’s happening right in front of them and a few of them should stick to their day jobs.

Ok. Scream at em from the stands. Write a strongly worded email to the league. Doesn’t change the fact that these aren’t full time refs and I doubt there’s a long line of folks itching to do part time work for part time pay to have folks in the stands tell them they’re incompetent.

Sending an email to the league isn’t going to change anything and yes I know that yelling at them from the stands won’t change anything either (but it does make some feel better). I do know that it is a job that they have chosen to do and be paid for it therefore any person that pays a ticket price should be able to hold them accountable. I know for a fact that if I did a half ass job like they do my boss would most certainly hold me accountable.

did you ever think for a moment that Parekh was so intent on getting a pass back ( look at his position, stick on the ice ) that he could have run into the opposing player?

If you are seriously trying to argue that a dude reaching for a pass (who is a vulnerable player per OHL rules) actually was the aggressor in an interference scenario vs a defender who is in the process of trying to make a check (shoulder tucked in ready to make contact) on Parekh from the blind side (penalty 1), making head contact (penalty 2), on a player who doesnt have possession of the puck (penalty 3) I think those old Don Cherry Rock em Sock em tapes melted your brain

I see you posted this garbage in the Flint board too so you would get sympathy from the Flint fans instead of trolling the Saginaw fans...here's the quote from the rulebook

41B.1 Blindsiding - The act of checking an opponent from the “blindside”. If a player checks an opponent with significant force who is reaching for a loose puck (the opponent is therefore considered vulnerable), it shall be classified as charging or interference.

Because there was head contact with Piercy's shoulder, it created a head check in the referee's eyes. They then had to determine the severity of it (2min or 5min) and with Parekh having to go off the ice (whether he returned or not), they made the decision that it was severe enough for a 5min penalty. The refs are missing lots of calls but in this situation all they can do is rule on the information they have and there was shoulder-head contact which triggers a head check penalty and they see the player skating off the ice. They had no choice but to do the 5min penalty.

Parekh was in the offensive zone trying to make a play and you act like it's his fault he went flying...from what you post here and in the Saginaw boards I can't figure out if you're a fan of Saginaw or not. I don't expect a homer like in the "Fan Nation" boards but it's just so often negative with you when this season has been so positive with an overachieving team and winning the hosting of the memorial cup.

Wow what a reach... so I disagree with the call? Have you ever played the game? Ever run into a much larger opponent by accident totally unprepared , particularly when the opponent is much larger, taller and stronger? Its a 4 on 4 overtime situation, and have my doubts, so hate me. So often negative? I have posted that Parekh will be the next Hronek. Unlike you, I have none of the lock step allegiance that you and others do. I love the game not a particular team, so TS. Pick up your pompoms and cheer on.

"I see you posted this garbage in the Flint board too so you would get sympathy from the Flint fans instead of trolling the Saginaw fans."

Who are you to tell me where I can post? Sympathy??? I happened to agree with some of their comments. Get a life.

No I don't. I think he is a great budding talent who needs to change the way he plays before he gets his head handed to him. It goes up your you know where that I post here, but I give 2 cents about you and your comments . Deal with it.
Giroux skated into him for a check. Parekh put his hands up. Caught him high. Certainly a penalty but to insinuate it was a dirty play is a massive stretch.

I’m fine with you posting. You just have really bad takes sometimes.

Pin, I never said it was a dirty play, nor do I think Piercy's hit was intentional. Just a difference of opinions. I think that if he keeps his head on straight, Parekh could be the best Spirit player in recent memory, but he needs to cut out some of the the questionable play in his game. Back to the game.

A completely oblivious Perekh coasted into the path of Piercey …interference

Day has been OUTSTANDING. Props to the kid tonight.
Yeah. He’s been pretty much this good for a month and a half. He’s been one of the few bright spots this year and just think….you’ll get to watch him improve for at least the next two more years. On another note, I want to point this out now while it’s one of the Flint players doing it. In the 1st period, Lombardi scores and turns and celebrates towards the fans. It wasn’t the worst and maybe there was some Flint fans there but I HATE that. We all know they’re just kids and all but when they do stuff like skating by the glass hand to their ear taunting opposing fans….? Save that for the Pro’s boys because you’re just asking for it.
