Or the Pegulas selling the Sabres to someone who cares about whether they win or not.The biggest move should be firing Adams.

Has his game fallen off, or is it just a scenario where the coach doesn't like him?

Sabres could trade rosters with the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers and still somehow extend the playoff drought
And that's kind of the problem. A guy like Andersson is theoretically a very good fit for Buffalo........but his style is wholly redundant given that we have Dahlin, Power and Byram.Yeah like Rasmus Andersson is the only one that comes to mind, and he's definitely not defensive orientated, even though he can play PK and over 20 minutes a game without much issue.
Murphy from the Hawks, perfect fit imo and they have all the room they need to take him at full priceYeah like Rasmus Andersson is the only one that comes to mind, and he's definitely not defensive orientated, even though he can play PK and over 20 minutes a game without much issue.
Personally, I've been beating that drum for 2 years. Seems like the perfect veteran presence for Power and our blueline in general.Murphy from the Hawks, perfect fit imo and they have all the room they need to take him at full price
in all seriousness Florida's roster is perfect for their heavy forecheck system. Under Ruff's system, I don't think Florida's roster will be nearly as successful especially with their depleted blueline. Likewise, Buffalo's roster isn't the best fit for a heavy forecheck system either.Because Florida sucks? Agreed
Yup, that's my thinking, beats the hell out of a washed up JohnsonPersonally, I've been beating that drum for 2 years. Seems like the perfect veteran presence for Power and our blueline in general.
Seth Jones would be perfect for Buffalo

Barzal or Dobson for Quinn, Helenius, 1st
Is Power untouchable ? I'm obviously thinking a Dobson angle .
then , Sabres can extend Byram
Oh baby, this Pegula-yacht is loaded with Pu. Most of us are drowning in it.Now that Buffalo is all out of Pu can you make a real trade with Carolina?
The issue is and will remain: no higher end veterans with anything left to give will come to this environment willingly. That means no free agents (barring a massive overpay), and no one is waiving their NMC or modified NTC in a trade. It really ensures that Buffalo will remain a joke unless they can develop out of it. But they cannot develop without that framework of leadership. It is a sisyphean tragedy.I think more veterans to guide the young players is the route
Quinn is having a bad stretch. Zegras is bad. No chance. If Adams is targeting a player for player swap, I'd go to the Ducks and try Zegras for Quinn. Both have disappointed this year, and could offer a change of scenery. If it's a larger trade, I think Kulich/Quinn/1st/Joker/Sammy would be the pieces they would try to work with for a deal. Maybe Poltopov in the K as well.
Untouchable, and their best defenseman this year. Byram is going out the door if anyone. Is Power untouchable ? I'm obviously thinking a Dobson angle .

He's from Ohio, can't imagine he would hate Buffalo that much, decent odds they're not on his listJones has NMC so safe to say he would shoot down a trade
Murphy would be great fit but has a 10 tean NTC that could be problem
I assume all 7 of the teams in Canada are on list, The other 3 teams would be question
IMO, their glaring need is a top 4-caliber RHD to pair with Power long-term. Preferably one a little more defense-oriented who's a PKer.
A lot of fans are questioning the fit of Cozens at center long-term......so maybe an upgrade there that puts Cozens on the wing. OR, using Cozens himself to upgrade the 2C position so we've got two guys who are 1C/2C types (along with Tage).
Both of you know you want Savard deep down in your heart. Make it happen chiefEasy answer is 2C. Most people think Cozens is better suited for the wing. Second answer is a more balanced D core. Top 4 big shutdown type D. Everyone had Quinn pencilled in as a 2nd line winger which is hurting them right now, but he is also way too talented to be a third liner.
