Assuming you're talking Seattle, why would he go there? They're prob not close to winning, and he'd leave money on the table signing in Washington state. Not happening. First Buffalo can afford the 9.5M and if he goes to Tampa when he talked of being closer to home woukd burn big bridges. Fans can respect he goes west to be closer to in-laws. Florida ain’t it.

One of the reasons they sucked for so long was because they tried to microwave their rebuild with trades that didn’t build a culture. Getting Evander Kane and Lehner sent them backwards instead of progressing.
Pretty sure Washington state doesn’t have income taxAssuming you're talking Seattle, why would he go there? They're prob not close to winning, and he'd leave money on the table signing in Washington state.

Doesn't Washinton State start the millionaires tax in 2028? Its like 9.9% on anything over $1M.Pretty sure Washington state doesn’t have income tax
No idea. I don’t really buy the Seattle stuff.Doesn't Washinton State start the millionaires tax in 2028? Its like 9.9% on anything over $1M.
I could be wrong about this, but if he signed for 10x8, we could be talking a $3-7M difference over the life of the contract.
you are correct... in the range of 31%, which is the lowest possible in USA/CANPretty sure Washington state doesn’t have income tax
I still don’t really know if he would play in Seattle. Panarin turned down like 15 mil AAV there. Feel like Tuch would settle a bit to play on a better American teamyou are correct... in the range of 31%, which is the lowest possible in USA/CAN
Look at the millionaires tax starting in 28you are correct... in the range of 31%, which is the lowest possible in USA/CAN
Link?Another Buffalo guy (Duane S) is saying it might be Quinn going. Same source got the Byram to Chicago trade earlier in the night.
Will legitimately shock me if the Leafs land an American big free agentTuch 8 x 10.5

Not sure if this is true, or if it affects the fact that Chad has been talking about Tuch not being able to get done and the sign and trade being an option for a while.Another Buffalo guy (Duane S) is saying it might be Quinn going. Same source got the Byram to Chicago trade earlier in the night.
Tuch's wife is from BC. Closer to her family. More moneyAssuming you're talking Seattle, why would he go there? They're prob not close to winning, and he'd leave money on the table signing in Washington state.
Honestly we should have more NMCs and terrible FA classes more often if this is what it’s likeGoing to bed disappointed that this trade is still not done. I'm expecting 5 more trades upon waking. Many thanks
