He said it was a possibility. Nowhere was he adamant that Knies was getting traded for the 4th lol. It seems they discussed a deal, and that's what he heard.

They were going to be in cap trouble around summer 2025-2027 depending on contracts and structure given their 20-24 draft picks due 2nd contracts+ tuch contract snd skinner buy out wherec26 was a balloon payment.

Last summer that's why they traded Peterka for doan ( kn elc) and kesselring to open up about $5M in space for 25/26

This yeR tuch contract ending and they needed to move out salary yo resign him.

They still havr a roster of 12/7/4 with 2 RFA F and 2 UFA F they could sign. Their target is a 13/7/3 roster

Move out a G, D, 3 F
Bring in a mid pair D

Of the 3 F -- one is sent to AHL, one could be buried in AHL and one traded or 2 are traded., or they let the 2 UFAs walk.

As a Sabre fan, no. I know he reinvented himself and finally started to accept some coaching in a reduced role, but that doesn't mean there is interest there.

If he signs with Utah, Colorado, or pacific division teams it makes geographic sense. Him signing in the east will lose all credibility to the family is important. But at $10M per year they can buy her family homes from welland/ st Catherine’s on east.
