Instead of having Howden, Hajek, DiGuiseppe, Jack Johnson, Bitetto, and Lemieux play a chunk of games, there are guys that can actually do things that were added.
ie play a role... that is severely needed.

Said before in this thread...
This is fine.
But can we shift gears now?
It seems like this is a singular focus and I don't like it.
We still need more skill too. This is hockey, not boxing. In 2021 it's a game of skill not brawling.
Even a 50-50 distribution of grit and skill is too much grit.
Caps got boners with our finesse game and tried to beat us at it, yes they hit hard (that's FUN), but they were too quick to fly the zone on D assuming a turnover that never came, and we capitalized on that multiple times. They were undisciplined. How far did that style get them in the playoffs? Not very. And 3-5 against the Bruins is nothing to brag about, and how'd we look against the Isles when the games actually mattered and they clogged the passing lanes and patiently waited for offensive opportunities? Hapless. When we needed a line to change the tone and hem the Isles in we had no answer.we were 3-5 against the Bruins and 4-4 against the Caps lol you talk as if we couldn't even play against them
Think that's just jersey number. Unless you're thinking late career Graves.Sammy Blais.....looking at highlights he reminds me of Gravy
Correct. Fighting because your boss told you to, and barely getting any punches in, is useless to me. At least Buch did some damage and did it because he pissed, not told to.Buch jumping Mantha was the highlight for me.
I hope RR contributes to this team making the playoffs, that is #1 for me.

Unlike in prior years, we're not banking on late first round picks with limited upside to carry us offensively going forward. We have two premier forwards in Panarin and Zib and three young players in Kakko, Laf, and Kravtsov that all have star potential. Even if one of them doesn't pan out we should still be OK. I'm not worried and understand the overall strategy, overpays notwithstanding.
Yeah, hell yeah, I love to lose 5-1 opening night because Tinordi and Bitetto are in the lineup. Can't wait for the opening night line brawl where our starting 5 is something like:
Blais-Goodrow-Reaves
Tinordi-Bitetto
Where are you playing Gudas? Why is Florida trading him? While they have improved the toughness, not sure I see any agitators or anyone who plays dirty. Maybe Gudas would be a good add?
That's not an accurate distribution. More like 60% skill, 30% grit that can play, and like 10% animal. Good mix for a young team with playoff aspirations. Their top 6 is fine offensively.

i don’t know about that. I remember collectively everyone infuriated watching those isles games and what happened to Panarin then freaking out that all we had to answer was Brendan Smith
it’s fitting here. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.
Yes and Drury has signed heavy, tough players who can play hockey.

Sure, and this would mean you clearly know nothing about the league or trade value.
