Don't know who the heaviest hitter on the Oilers is, but I expect someone will challenge him. That is if Reaves is still in the Leafs lineup or even on the roster by then.

Nurse skating with his head down. Reaves needs to duck down low in order not to make contact with Nurse's head.

If Reaves had made solid contact with Nurse's body then any resulting head contact is deemed unavoidable and therefore legal.

But due to his poor angle of approach he mostly contacts the head and gets very little of Nurse's body, which makes it an illegal check to the head.

You have to hit a player solidly to their body.

Yah that was disheartening. They stood up for each other at the start of the season and got into some fights and since then it’s been crickets.
