Only 2015 draft pick in the OHL with more goals is Marner.
He seems to run hot/cold and when he's on he scores in bunches, he really beat up on Kitcheners 16 year old back up tonight with Olpika at the WJC try out. But the stat you posted is a bit misleading guys like Zacha and Strome are scoring at a better rate, they just lasted longer in camp and are at WJC tryouts (and will be on their respective national teams). Senyshyn is rounding into form though and should be able to finish with 40 or more on the year.

Well , he was the 5th highest pick from the OHL not including Mcdavid and Marner + Zacha has a higher GPG , Strome has the same GPG and double the PPG. The only one who hes really outscoring ahead of him is Crouse...

How about 21 goals?

It's not really that impressive, there are a lot of players in the OHL with 20 or more goals.

Dvorak (28), Betzold (23), Marner (22), Nylander (21), Berisha (21), Senyshyn (21), MacInnis (20), Salituro (20)

Also good to note that all these players have more points than Senyshyn and that Saulitro and Nylander are draft eligible (Saulitro being passed over last year).

Of all the Bruins 1st round picks I liked the Senyshyn pick the best. Such a toolsy player. 6'2, 200lbs, wicked fast skater, ability to score goals in bunches. Chris Kreider is a good comparable.

Haven't heard that before, mind posting a source? I thought it was the Oilers that had him on their board for the next pick.

I believe it was from one of our posters who's an OHL writer and a legit insider for us. I could have gotten the second team ( Red Wings ) wrong, but it's what I seem to recall. If you'd like, feel free to send Dom - OHL a message.

It's good but not anything crazy. A 15th overall pick in his D+1 season should be putting up numbers.

HockeyDB hadn't updated yet then. Doesn't really change the point.

And that's why numbers aren't everything.

Dvorak (28 in his draft+2 year on a stacked London team)), Betzold (2320 year old undrafted ), Marner (22 4th overall pick, stacked London team), Nylander (21 Lock for a top 10 pick )), Berisha (21 20 year old on a stacked London team ), Senyshyn (21), MacInnis (20 In his draft+2 season), Salituro (20 undrafted in his 4th full OHL season )

Just some perspective.

As a Bruins fan. The fact he is performing up to the level expected of a top 15 NHL pick, helps to justify his selection. He isn't performing better than top 15, but he is starting to make the Bruins scouting department look more competent than they did in june.

See Bearcountry17 post.

He was one of the best skaters from the draft and we still/again know he is a longer project but a high potential one.

And to see what they've done/found in Pasta, Heinen, Vatrano, Ferraro in the last 16 months gives me hope for their 1st round picks for this year.

I wanted the Sabres to pick him up with one of the picks we had from 20-30ish. Before we went and traded them of course.

If he went 10-20 spots later, he'd be considered a steal right now and moreso in coming years. But, he's at least made himself respectable of what you would want out of a 15th overall selection. Nothing more, nothing less really. Kid can fly.

26 goals in 37 games for Seny, after slow start he's been rolling.

Last year 26 goals in 66 games.

Zach Senyshyn in 2014-15: 26 goals in 66 games. 2015-16: 26 goals & counting in 37 games.

Flys around the ice. Bruins got exactly what they wanted.

Still pretty inexcusable to pass on Barzal, but it would be nice to see him actually prove people wrong and turn into a solid NHL'er one day.

I love how the Bruins are the only ones who get blamed for this. You realize every team above the Bruins had a chance to pick Barzal correct?

I do wish they took Barzal with one of these picks after watching him, but its clear the Bs scouting staff didn't like something about him. I'll defer to them.
