One of the all time draft blunders.Imagine how good of shape the bruins future would of been if they took Boeser Barzal and Connor. Just let that sink in that they didnt do that

Well, Boston originally wanted Connor, but he apparently tanked his interview and showed a reluctance to be a part of the organization, which made the Bruins opt for Debrusk.
Link?
I saw this in another thread, your story doesn't make sense. Boston didn't have possession of the picks until the day of the draft, so the strategy would not of been to draft all 3 at the time they conducted pre-draft interviews, which are usually done at the combine. It seems like a bunch of revisionist history, I've also heard nothing about Connor interviewing poorly, although that was rumored about Barzal. There are a couple of posters on the Bruins board who have some connections to the organization who said that Boston DID plan to draft Connor; however, the organization changed its mind after the pre-draft interview with him. Connor was apparently very unenthusiastic, especially in comparison to the interviews that he had given to other teams. That was a red flag to Boston: under no circumstances did it want to be stuck with a young player who did not want to play in Boston (e.g. Hamilton) or a college player who might walk as a free agent after four years (e.g. Vesey). So, the Bruins opted for Debrusk. The original plan was to draft Zboril, Connor and Senyshyn (the latter being the "reach").
So, please go ahead and continue to bash Boston and its 2015 first-round picks. The truth, however, is that Boston wanted Connor, but his interview showed that the feeling wasn't mutual.
You already know for a fact that the Boston players won't be any good and worse than players picked behind them? Could you tell me who wins the cup in 2019 too?
I remember when Moncton fans were very frustrated with Marchand... he turned out ok. It's almost like players change after junior?
You don't genuinely believe they took the three best players do you? Please show us your pre-draft list. I want to see that your hindsight was foresight.
I'd bet my life on Kessel scoring 40 goals next year.

Crosby or Malkin will have their best winger since Hossa..
He can score, he's atrocious in our own end, all I'm saying is I don't see him translating well. He's been a product of Spears this season.

I mean I don't even feel like I need to type anything here, it's clear as day what they didn't do and why they'll regret it for years.

That's the part that gets me. Bruins fans are still defending these picks desperately. You don't genuinely believe they took the three best players do you?

Yeah Boston is no Winnipeg as far as preferred player destinations go, they definitely need to be sure players won’t sit out for 4 years just to avoid going there.Well, Boston originally wanted Connor, but he apparently tanked his interview and showed a reluctance to be a part of the organization, which made the Bruins opt for Debrusk.
Grabner 2.0Joking aside
Senyshyn’s low assist totals can be a pretty big red flag because it suggests he doesn’t have the puck on his stick a lot even at the CHL level. If he struggles to touch the puck in Junior then he probably tops out as a 4th line player if he makes the NHL at all. The Jets board has this concern over Lemieaux, but at least his offensive strength is his net-front presence, where you wouldn’t normally expect a lot of assist. For a speed guy, I’d expect to see him transport the puck more which should translate into better assist totals.
Here's a list that tries to create a consensus. It indicates they should of gone Barzal, Connor, and Merkley of available players. People are going way over the top bashing Senyshen here, the only players from the 2015 (or later drafts) who outscored him at gpg rate are Debrincat and Marner.too many people claiming they just happened to have 3 of the more talked about guys all conveniently ranked NOW in those slots that Bruins were picking. I highly doubt people knew Boeser would be this good and hell even some mock drafts had Connor ranked later than where Boston was picking(I remember him anywhere between like 11-21ish overall in mock drafts)... the only guy that I remember being ranked before their choices consistently was Barzal
easy to say now who teams should have picked
He actually specified big 10, although I don't believe it to be true. While I don't think Senyshen would rack up Connor like totals, I could see him putting up good numbers if paired with guys like Motte and Compher. For example Scott Conway put up 26 points in 34 games last year as a non-prospect freshman and scored at a lower pace than Tyson Jost in the BCHL this year. Or the fact Kunin and Novak put up good numbers for prospects of their stature.
Disagree that the picks aren't looking good. They have all looked very good.
One of the all time draft blunders.
They look fine in isolation, but not when you consider where they were picked and the guys they passed on.
I actually like Senyshen, I think he's a low risk pick who is a good bet to make the NHL even if he's not a top 6 player. But Connor, Barzal, Boeser . . . I have a hard time taking him over them. They might have a bit harder time being bottom 6 NHLers, but their ceilings are all a lot higher.
