Can we have a list of Russians going back for the season at least because of the COVID situation? There are quite a few by now and NHL teams are way more inclined to loan them out.

So far I think it's only been 3 NHL teams loaning guys to KHL but I'm likely forgetting someone

Leafs: Lehtonen (not Russian, I know) & Korshkov
Wild: Khovanov & Lodnia
Oilers: Samorukov & Maksimov

edit: Didn't realise the Caps also loaned out Alexei Protas to Dinamo Minsk yesterday

I am not only talking about loans. There are more players who just signed in Russia or stayed in Russia because of the nebulous situation about the next NHL let alone AHL season.

Just one virus & the AHL season is in risk, that says a lot about their stability & financial background. And yeah, the players are changing their mind so quickly. No more "I have a dream ... "

Btw, the biggest losers are kids moving to NA major juniors this off-season.

What do you want those players in the AHL to do? They want to play where there is more certainty of a season, no one is trying to wait 2-3 months after the normal start time to potentially start a season, at the end of the day they're just trying to play hockey right now.

I do not want anything.

I think he makes the team opening night barring any big acquisitions on wing. He brings an element we lack a little.

Completely agree. IIRC Babcock wanted him on the team in 2018-19 after his strong pre-season. I think the plan has always been to give him 1 full year with the Marlies to work on skating and adjust to NA ice, which is why mmgt was frustrated that he stayed in the KHL for an additional year.

Korsh is one of my favourite prospects in the org. Reminds me stylistically of JVR/Greenway with his net front presence and power forward game. I think he will be a lot better than what people are expecting (i.e. top 9 guy who can play on any line).

sick play! He might be an under the radar player that could push for a top 9 role possibly.
just for fun, I'd love to see a line in the pre season with Korshkov, Mikheyev and Barabanov! I believe Mikheyev played some center in the KHL...can anyone confirm? Seems like a good blend of skill, speed and size; they should complement each other quite well.
