The beginning of the second period, and Michkov already has a hat trick. What a beast.

Don't understand the timing. Right now Chib, Svech and Mich should better work on their chemistry for the U20, instead of playing few minutes in the KHL. Michkov has probably not played two games with the same linemates all season ... we haven't even seen what it looks like when he and his partners are understanding the play of each other.

Morozov and Marchenko were sent down to the VHL, so Svechkov and Chibrikov were sent down to the MHL. Despite the fact that Chibrikov is PPG+ in the VHL, and Svechkov looks pretty solid as well. Probably all others are too old or coaches wanted to test Chibrikov, Svechkov and Michkov line.
 
I think SKA needs to let him learn the KHL on the job with a top nine spot. He’s played enough MHL games. He could also play VHL, but I don’t think he’d do poorly with a regular top 9 KHL spot.

Given it's the NHL he might still go 2nd after Bedard, because center, Canadian and reasons, but right now Michkov is just cruising on his elite development curve while Bedard is not exactly tearing the WHL apart. There are still 2 years till the draft.
