True, he probably never leaves the ice with Varyagi. Still , I expected him to go to the VHL as much lesser prospects are getting KHL/VHL time.
Yeah, it looks like.

Good experience for them and good chance to have a lot of ice-time for him, so win-win basically. But I hope they will move him to VHL soon. This guy should not be in this league. It's not fair for the other teams
Not a chance. Is he one of those guys who matured physically well ahead of his peers, and against men we are seeing what he really is? Is he going to develop more, or is he done growing?

he looks small even among his mhl peers. Is he one of those guys who matured physically well ahead of his peers, and against men we are seeing what he really is? Is he going to develop more, or is he done growing?

Why not? It's the same league. I don't care which one of the SAK teams he is on. What I do care about is why oh why isn't he in the VHL.Why is he playing on Varyagi instead of SKA-1946 St. Petersburg?
He is physically a smallish 16 year old. Against men we are seeing what we should be seeing that even a generational talent is at 16 not able to come through against grown men bodies. He has not even started developing really. Most prospects at this age are outside the view of the casual HF crowd anyway. You are making the mistake of measuring him against much older guys subconciously I guess. If he was 18-19 and would dominate juniors, but struggle against men, then the development question of yours might be relevant. Is he one of those guys who matured physically well ahead of his peers, and against men we are seeing what he really is? Michkov's 2.2 PPG are by far the highest rate of any a U18 player ever (with at least 5 games played). But I wouldn't be surprised if he can maintain his pace till season end (something around 2 PPG). Kuznetsov had a really strong short stint in the MHL, but I think Kucherov's 1.41 PPG over 40 games are to beat if Michkov can play in the MHL for so long this Season. Perevalov and specially Kantserov will come down to earth.

Dunno, Kantserov looked really, really good in the games against the Czechs recently and Perevalov is the real deal, while obviously no Michkov. They might not maintain the wild PPG pace, but they will be around the top I'm sure.Michkov's 2.2 PPG are by far the highest rate of any a U18 player ever (with at least 5 games played). Well, it's like putting McDavid on the OilersBtw interesting statistics. Varyagi overal are 8-1-1-8, Varyagi with Michkov are 5-0-0-1.
