Flyers had 2 PPs vs Utah and 4 PPs vs Boston...
Who cares, you were talking about TOI and I gave it some context as the Flyers had more TOI on the PP versus Utah.

They also had much more TOI SH which Michkov doesn't play against Boston.

But maybe your point was that Michkov should be playing on the PK?

My point is I don't understand you. You say Michkov had way more time on PP vs Utah than vs Boston. But Flyers had just 2 PPs vs Utah vs 4 PPs vs Boston. Michkov is on the first PP team so I assume his PP time vs Boston should be about 2 times more than vs Utah.

Leading rookies by 8 points after 10 weeks is crazy.

Stuff can change, but what is the scenario he doesn't win the Calder? Celebrini goes ham and Michkov struggles? Hutson picks up the scoring even more and gets better defensively?

Seems like the Calder is pretty close to wrapped up before the new year.
I think Celebrini will be the main contender ....Michkov is no doubt the favorite but it isn't wrapped up by no means.

Celebrini can give a run, but he’s a tier below offensively, no slight on Celebrini but guys like Michkov are RARE.

I don't get the negative russia draft factor narrative at all. Its far more likely that a NCAA player walks for nothing or demands a trade, we seen this time and time again.

Really hoping the up and coming Russians, Michkov, Demidov specifically can change the narrative.

Man this is just weak and a response to "why can't everyone agree with me" type of appeal.

My bet is that most of the "haters" that you are talking about would have Michkov #1 on their Calder ballot right now if they had one.

Heck even McDavid got heavily criticized last spring for not being good enough to win a SC FFS, although some of those fools hide after the historical performance.
THIS is weak.

I almost hope they keep scratching him from time to time to give him a rest. I think he could very well have 80+ points in 70 games for example. Nothing about his game suggests he's about to slow down, quite the opposite actually. I think his confidence is already at the point where he knows he can do whatever he wants offensively, I just hope he doesn't hit the rookie wall at 40-50 games played.

I’ve been watching him since game 1, nothing suggests he’ll somehow slow down, he’s different. If any thing the game has slowed down for him.

Even accounting for any possible shot % regression, I have to think his teammates will start finish his passes at a higher clip than at the start of the season. In fact I think we're seeing that right now.

Interestingly Michov's chance creation numbers aren't anything otherworldly, he's just hyper efficient just like as a prospect.

Go look at the PP and SH TOI for the 2 games he was 4th in ES ice time among Philly forwards for both games so your original post was suggesting a problem that wasn't there.

The 4 Nations break should be very beneficial for him.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

He's still learning and adapting, so the game will continue to slow down. But it's also not crazy to think the physical 82 game schedule will wear on him at some point in the season.
There will be peaks and valleys.
