I think we forget that Mickov is still adjusting to a new country and hockey over here. The National Lesgue is a lot faster than the KHL. Yet, even with these new adjustments Michkov excels. The sky is the limit for this guy. So glad he’s over here now and we get to watch him.

Yeah, the games realllllly slowing down for him now, he's starting to settle in, even though it's only... ANOTHER Michkov goal as I type this lmfao. This kid is absolutely insane.

it's much easier for swedes or finns there, not to mention fantili and others. it's impressive how fast he adapted indeed.

7 points in his last 2 1/3 games...not sure if that's good or not
it isnt.

When he gets lucky and gets a point that isnt on the powerplay or 3 on 3 (neither one of these count, btw) its from 2 feet out!! anyone can do that! or he banks it off a goalie's head by accident.....

Also, I don't understand what i am watching.

Michkov mostly played on the small ice in the KHL.
really?

i had no idea they had that there?

some of the teams in the KHL, or all?

Both of those goals are Michkov knowing how to score around the net better than any player in hockey. He’s a genius at it. Will score more goals in that 10 foot radius to the immediate right of the net than any player in NHL history. Mark my words.

As far as I remember Esposito was all about around the net goals, but he did it different.

I don't think I can remember a player that does that as well as he does and the way he does it, he's such a weird, unique player, loved his game almost the second I first started watching him.

What does everyone think of this young skilled ruskie? Watching the Flyers ruin the Bruins season right now and it came to my mind....I think the only player comparison that makes sense for him is Maxim Afinogenov

Highly skilled russian that loves his native land

Let me know who your thoughts

Maxim Afinogenov was very flashy, there's no flash to Michkov's game, just pure hockey brilliance. Kid has an innate ability to know where the right place, right time is at all times.

Lol, he's exactly the opposite of what Afinogenov was.

Afinogenov was very fast, Michkov isn't. Afinogenov scored 1 goal out of 5 great chances, Michkov scores when there is no chance at all. And I'm not saying about playmaking where Michkov is better than 3 Afinogenovs.

i am getting on board of this.

I am actually starting to think he is the most cerebral forward i have ever watched.

I have been watching Gretzky in the 80s a lot lately. Its the same kind of feeling... except the game was slower then. Its harder to tell that Michkov is one step ahead than it is if you watch Wayne.... but i am starting to think he might actually be. Different player, mind you. Its going to be quickly executed finishes instead of puck distribution, but.... he still reminds me a little bit of playoff Briere, haha, so i dont want to get ahead of myself. Maybe he will lack too many other things to do what i think he MIGHT do.....

Briere floor, ceiling is multiple Art Rosses.
