RW Matvei Michkov (2023, 7th, PHI) Part 5

One thing is very obvious to me. Anaheim, Columbus, San Jose, my Habs, Arizona......all made the wrong pick.

Bedard has the tools to be a franchise guy, he’s 19, a lot of people writing him off is insane. This was two horse draft and in the coming years it will become more and more clear as much as I absolutely love Carlsson

Sorry, but who do you love? Tbh it was obviously a draft with two guts at the top. And Michkov just win (not arguable) round one. Lots of rounds to go, of course, but he’s now in the lead.,

I’m objective, I don’t think either is in the lead right now, I wouldn’t trade Michkov for Bedard but wouldn’t blame Chicago fans for being the same way, I think they’re in the same tier. There’s just a freakish IQ that I just knew would make him a star in the NHL since the first time I saw him play as a kid, it’s a unique IQ and I just love how he plays hockey. Bedard is an incredible talent in his own right as well.

Michkov is a special player. His IQ and instincts are world-class. If the Flyers had more talented players who could think the game on his level, he'd easily have 5-6 more points this season. He's made some amazing passes that his teammates couldn't anticipate.
