Potential is hard to measure though.
Apparently, yeah. This season's testament to that, isn't it?

Very funny reading that Kakko's one of these lower end #2s, closer to Podkolzin, what have you. Well, from what I've seen, he's dominant vs NHL players.

I wonder what Jokke Nevalainen thinks now about me saying that Kakko right now is better than Kotkaniemi. He disliked it so much he decided to publicly shame me on Twitter.

Just funny how this kid is throwing nhl stars around. And one little girl fell over by a glance and was never seen again.

Lets hope he gears up even more in the third. I know its in there.

I would like your comment if mods hadn't taken that privilege away from me solely for stating the truth

Very nice stickhandling, dangles and protection of the puck on the over time. Too bad he didn't get to perfect scoring position.

Bbbbut hhhe ppplays against mmmen.

As you can see it apparently makes quite a difference atleast at this point of their careers. Everytime we have said Kakko should be number one it has been bias or something else. Now everyone can see what we have talked about.

After this game I don't think there should be any concern about the gap between Hughes and Kakko not being as slim as McKenzie's scouts said couple of months back. It's just a matter of which player type the team that draft first prefers. And as far as I'm concerned, New Jersey plays fast paced rush-style hockey that makes Hughes a perfect fit for the team.

Maybe when Bob and his scouts say something the first time we should take it seriously?? He always has the most accurate and recent information from the scouts.

Let people meme if they want. Kakko's shift in overtime:

I think it's obvious that his skills will adapt to the NHL well. Suter is one of the best defensive dmen in the game, and he looks like borderline ahl'er when trying to stop Kakko.

I'd say there was some luck involved here, but still an insane pass.
You'd say that if Kakko didn't make passes like that frequently. But everything he does is nowadays put to luck so maybe he just is the luckiest person on earth and doesn't actually know how to play hockey at all.

That game summed it up for me: Kakko absolutely dominating, even Ryan Suter of all players, and Hughes not able to play at the level required.

I love how all the Finns were called crazy and stupid before, but now that everyone’s seeing the level that the kid is at, their suddenly changing their minds.

In conclusion to all NA guys, watch before you judge...

Congratulations NYR fans.

Jack Hughes himself said on a pre-game interview, that "this game or tournament won't matter, U18 tournament sealed my position already."

So maybe this comment included some inside information, or something, but sounded a bit weird.

If, that's the case, New York Rangers will get the BPA with the 2nd pick.

Again, congratulations.
