His shot is right there with Matthews as one of the top shots in 2016 draft, in my opinion. The only lacking part in his shot is the accuracy and poise in it.

I mean, there have been times when he gets a real good scoring chance and he either misses it wide or just randomly fans on the puck. Puljujärvi also has a deadly onetimer WHEN he actually hits the puck.

But if he finds that poise to his shooting, I have no doubt why he couldn't crack 30-40 goals on McDavid's side.

Yeah, i don't know if it's just me but i think Pulju has some problems with his coordination. He's a kid with long limbs and i think he grew in spurts in the last couple of years.

Just the consistency part more so, he knows how to do all the things he wants to do, but sometimes when he's having a bad game he can't get his timing right at all, not just in his shot but also in his stickhandling etc.

It's just pretty amazing how good the kid is being this raw. If he ever puts it all together he's going to be better than Taylor Hall in my opinion.

I saw him play live on Monday night in San Jose. He was easily the best player on the ice for Bakersfield. And was even more impressive when you consider that, and I feel like I'm being generous here, the rest of the Condors lineup looked like/played like complete garbage that game.

The shot he unleashed for his goal was stupid good. Goalie never had a chance.

Yeah and that was pretty much a mediocre game for him considering what he managed to perform in his first 3 games in AHL.

It's great to see the guy playing hockey once again in a really long time.

Him, Drai, and Mcdavid are going to be hella good for the Oilers. Rebuild 2.0 was a big success (not so much on the first one eh)

Laleggia was a D before this. I wouldnt call him chopped liver. Struggled in the AL last year but in NCAA he was one of highest scoring D in that league. Won almost all the major awards in his conference. As a forward in AL hes put up good numbers in the short time hes been there

It's been just 4 games but I haven't really seen anything from either of them. Last game was clearly the toughest game and like 90% of the team they disappeared.

Imagine lining them up late in games trying to score a goal.
Drai- McDavid- Pulju, or for some playoff rounds put everyone of them to drive a different line like Pens last year, that's going to be fun to play against

sadly Hall/RNH/Yak wasn't even the first "Rebuild"

(Gagner,Cogs,Nilsson):(

3rd times the charm?

Here I think you misplaced the decimal place. They've been in rebuild mode since they traded Messier and Anderson in 1991. And from then till now, they've been considered a young team on the rise.

The enormous Draisaitl talk is bit stupid given how Draisaitl in comparison was moving like a tanker ship while Puljujärvi at least should be physically ready given that he has been a professional ice hockey player since the age of 15 with large ice surface ice ball background. Those factors should work in your favour early on.

Funny you say that because Draisaitl won the Oilers fastest skater in the skills competition as a rookie beating Taylor Hall.

Congratulations? Puljujärvi won over Laine in a shooting competition. Guess who scored the next 50 important goals.

Wasn't that at the Finnish WJC camp? Didn't Pulju end up with 17 points in 7 games leading the tournament in points and was named the MVP of the tournament following that?

Anyways, you have a serious hatred for Pulju as we've seen over the last while. Laine is awesome, we all know that, no need to continually bash Pulju to try and prove that.

With how many goals in the play-off stage did Puljujärvi contribute with? 0? Finland scored 12 in 3 games. Aho had couple. Laine three.

He had 5 assists in the playoff rounds though? Is that not contributing?

Anyways, glad to see him playing well in the AHL. He's really looking good down there, happy to see it.

Laine and Aho have managed to score 32 NHL goals without Puljujärvi and meidän peli which Finland played masterfully in that tournament, as we well know. Puljujärvi has one in the NHL despite playing with NHL point leader.... I think those numbers say more than Corsi.

Getting top line ice time is just what he needs. Leave him down there and call him back up for a playoff run later.

Dont think he is getting that yet..
Lander is the McDavid of AHL

He was ppg with McDavid, and is now ppg in the AHL.

If you haven't noticed Aho is year older than Pulju.
It's going to be fun to watch McDavid-Pulju play against Columbus.

He was awesome with McDavid in the like 3 or 4 games they were linemates if you actually followed the team.

Thanks for the reviews you've been giving us in HFOil BB, from the games I've seen I thought Pulju was the best player on the ice. He's really looked good since being down in the AHL, could easily have 3-5 more points. A couple posts and some beauty setups his line mates have been robbed on.

I'm really happy with his progress and him making the most of the situation rather than sulking or feeling sorry for himself. Shows character and mental toughness to battle hard through adversity, a couple months down there will do wonders long-term.

Honestly, what do you have against JP? Every single post I see from you is just you going out of your way to bash him

Two losses so far, 0+0 for each and hell of a good time watching?

It's going to be, and did they play on the same line?

When does the Condors have the next game?
I like Puljus attitude in the AHL, easy to see he wants to be the difference maker.

Friday. Exactly, he looks confident and aggressive. In my viewings he's played very well.

Yeah I share the same analysis. He seems to completely whiff on his shot sometimes as a result. Can't wait to see him grow into his body.
