NHL teams exaggerate and cook heights all the time. At 19 he was listed as 5'8 from NHL central scouting. Not many people grow 2 inches at that age. On average, most men are finished growing at the age of 18.

At one point, most hockey players are 5'6I had heard at one point he was 5'6 and also had some attitude issues.
