Most Top end NCAA teams exhibitions are absolute slaughters.

They play a canadian university once, and they play a super low end Division 1 team.

Not surprised he put up those numbers

Yesterday's game wasn't an exhibition, but yes, Canisius is terrible.

This guy is going to be a star for the Canucks. Guys like Horvat, Virtanen and Juolevi will be very good players, but it's unclear if they'll be scoring stars and bona-fide 1st line/1st pairing players.

Boeser, on the other hand, will be a true 1st line sniper and star for the Canucks. We needed a prospect like him BADLY.

Agreed. Hes the one guy making us excited about the future. Maybe Juol too :)

Only think that may be a problem is I think his production will be heavily reliant of who centers him which could be the difference to barely cracking 60 points or getting 80 points. Not sure the Canucks have the right center to get that top level production out of him unless the Sedins can play at a top level for like 5 more years(which given their age is unlikely)

This guy is easily my favourite non-Leafs prospect. I love his game and especially his shot. Really wish Toronto had gotten him.

Can say that about any of your top young players, haha. Boeser is our only hope at forward (along with a lesser extent Horvat)

Agreed. I think he'll go top 5 in a re-draft.

Could somebody give me an update on his skating? Is his acceleration better than before? How has his edge work improved?

Boeser's edge work or top speed isn't a problem. I'd classify them as good/decent. There hasn't been a time this year where he has struggled to keep up with the play. His first steps could improve, I doubt his skating will be an issue in the NHL though. But it shouldn't be a big issue, his stride has consistently improved over the season and it's already a lot better then it was last year. Once he hits the NHL he shouldn't be any slower then the average NHLer

What does everyone think about Boeser possibly:
- winning Hobey Baker this season? (50%)
- beating Gaudreau's 80pt season? (30%)

He's good, but not that good. It's hard to crack into a top 5 of McDavid, Eichel, Strome, Marner, and Hanifin.

Agreed

Mcdavid
Jeichel
Hani
Strome
Marner
Provorov
Boeser
Werenski
Konecny
Barzal
Zacha

Forgetting Bracco, Dermott and Nielsen..............Just joking not going to be that Leafs fan.

On a serious note, I'd add Konecny somewhere in your grouping. I don't agree with your order, but I'd say outside of missing Konecny its a fair grouping for the top of the 2015 draft. The only person I strongly disagree with being over Boeser is Werenski (I view him and Provorov as basically a coin flip at this point), the rest are fairly debatable in my mind.

The combo's of Jost and Boeser at North Dakota and Clayton Keller and Bellows (viewed by many as the 2016 comparable to Boeser) is going to be intriguing.
