in the past 10 years there have been only 4 players in the WHL and the OHL that have scored at least 100 points in back to back seasons:

1) Jason Spezza
2) Cory Perry
3) John Tavares
4) Brandon Kozun

i like his chances....

Right, but one of those players is not like the others....It's tough to project players of Kozun's size at the next level. He needs to be a top six forward, and that isn't set in stone.

If you were to draft Kozun this year, at what rank do you think he would go?

I'm just curious to see to what extent his stock has raised since last year's draft.

LA Kings Right Wing Prospect Brandon Kozun Is Finally Growing Up

It's been almost four years since right wing Brandon Kozun was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. At first, we all heard about what a great offensive player this young player from Los Angeles was, and that he just might have a chance to make it to the big show, despite his size. But after a season in the American Hockey League with the Manchester Monarchs, his stock began to drop, and he began to fade from the spotlight.

As it turned out, maturity and attitude were issues that created road blocks in his development. Has he turned the corner on that? Is his development back on track? You can read all about that in this story, based on a rather fascinating and refreshingly frank interview with Kozun.

So Kozun is scoring at almost a PPG pace for Jokerit in the KHL. Has he improved dramatically or is his game just that much better suited for the big ice?

He was always an excellent scorer with a ton of speed.

His issue was size and doubts about his durability in the NHL.

His game is pretty suited for the KHL or other euro leagues. He'll do well there.
