He had his moments. Might have had a better career with a better attitude.I wouldn't call Semin a "great" player....but he could certainly shoot the puck right handed

His team(s) play home games on the small rinkHow man games does the guy have on a small rink? Not impressed by your post.![]()
I’d say Semin was great. He’s a right shot guy too. It’s like 9 guys that shoot left to one guy who shoots right though. Do all the right handed guys play soccer in Russia or something?I wouldn't call Semin a "great" player....but he could certainly shoot the puck right handed
watched himn last year WJC too all the hype... meh.How man games does the guy have on a small rink? Not impressed by your post.![]()
Yah, he had the raw talent, but never made the most of it.He had his moments. Might have had a better career with a better attitude.

I always remember him saying he didn't think Crosby was special.Yah, he had the raw talent, but never made the most of it.
Semin was not great.. he means Kharlamov Mihailov Makarov etc... even Bure who played RW was a lefty. I do nto remember what Krutov wasKovalchuk and Panarin come to mind. Semin as well.
Oh. The great Russian teams had five guys who played as a unit, and practiced in green jerseys. Maybe that’s where the term comes from, and then moved to the ?Wings? The Russian Five term refers to the Red Wings line consisting of Russian players
Eh I think that this kind of play is just going to be the reality for much of the 2021 WJC, at least in the early stages. Neither team looked particularly good.
I have a friend who is very close to Lindros and she says he is NOT 6'4".
Well it's been a period and a half and it doesn't seem that the US is better than the Russians. We aren't ever allowed to be good. In a year where Russia has a weaker 19 year old crop and their best player is by far their 18 year old goalie, who has no track record of playing well in this tournament, we aren't allowed to be better. Only certain teams are allowed to be really good. If we win this game (or tournament) its because we scrapped and fought and got some luck. It can't be that we were simply better than they thought. And don't forget that our 19 year old crop is very overrated. Why? Who knows, but they aren't allowed any credit because it might defy logic why a team with such a good 19 year old crop gets no respect in some quarters.
