LOL. Go tell that the refs. That swedish player sure looked like he wanted kids from Abramov. Grabbing him the whole sequence.
He had his arm around him. He didn't impede him AT ALL. Idiot officials don't interpret plays. If you tap someone on the shoulder its a penalty.

Created some good offensive chances. The play to Holtz at the end that went off the crossbar near the end of the game and the Bobby Broberg flying through the air rush.

But yeah, he looked noticeably not himself. He’s usually a dazzling skater and you could tell he was really struggling compared to the way he usually skates.

Anwyays, that was a good game. Thought Russia was much better 5 v 5 and deserved to win.
I think both Broberg and Podkolzin looked a bit nicked up. Broberg’s ankle, and Podkolzin’s hand maybe? Both just didn’t seem completely 100% to me.

Lol. Russia had barely anything between the first period and OT (which they were by far better in). A couple of good chances on the counterattack is about it. Russia also got away with tonnes of stuff. Spearings, slashings, high sticks, delay of game, etc. More than makes up for whatever weak calls (not to mention they won the game off one).

Just admit you didn't watch the game
It's OK

Sweden needs to be more aggressive n the forecheck. I was also surprised that their Dmen were not more poised. That Soderblom is a unique player, though, and Gunler...he just knows how to score.
Podkolzin a beast, finally, and Amirov impressive. Abramov is a handful. Too bad Chinakhov isn't around.
Khusnutdinov repaying his coaches faith in him by having a good game when it counts. He and Abramov are deadly in the 3v3 situation.

On the replay, I didn't really see a clear hold on the penalty. In real time it looked like a trip or something, but you might want to swallow the whistle there unless you are sure you saw something.
