I'll be rooting for the U.S. tomorrow night because, assuming Canada beats Finland, we'd face the Czechs in the quarters and then Finland/Sweden in the Semis. I think that's the easier path.

Wouldn't a Russia win almost assuredly lock the Czechs in as the 4th seed? Even if the Swedes lose to the Americans and Russians they would have the tie breaker over the Czechs.

I’m not one of those dismissive Americans. I know going back years now this tournament is huge in other countries besides Canada. When Finland win gold beating Sweden in Sweden, didn’t pretty much all of Finland shut down? Also, I am also a soccer fan so it makes me roll my eyes when Americans think soccer is stupid and not realize it’s THE global sport.
