Honestly, I think Russia must win the group now, any other result would be a major failure. I don’t know what roster Sweden brings this time, but regardless, Russia should defeat all the teams in their group

Swiss are going to be very good! They have the closest roster to beat on best.

No Josi though
I didn't say all of them. But their best on best roster is at least 50 percent here including both goalies. I think they will be very good.

Eg. How many of your Russians will be on best on best roster? 1 or 2? Czechs have 5 or 6 I'm guessing. Good luck with rest of your tourney.

And which region of slovakia rosandic is from ?

And Jagr also doesn't sound like czech surname,,,,:sarcasm:
Very bad comparation. Rosandic was born in Croatia, but plays in Slovakia since his 15. As a hockey player, he is 100% Slovak.

I almost got my prediction wrong from the very start as I predicted that there will be no double digit-blowouts in this tournament. Germany almost made it.

What's up with them using abbreviation ROC for Russia during games but on IIHF's official site Russia is being called "Russia". Same thing with the Olympic flag vs Russia's flag. IIHF and Olympic committee have some kind of disagreement? Reminds me of the disagreement about Rene Fasel fighting for Belarus being the second host for this WHC till the end, while many others disagreed with that. Similar disagreement perhaps?

I don't have anything against Russia being called "Russia", but isn't this quite messy or should I say disorganized?

It's probably the most well known secret in history of the universe that Fasel is in Kremlin's pocket.

Zub, Provorov and Gavrikov are nearly locks, no forwards though
So I said 1 or 2 and it was 3. Now go look at swiss best on best roster guesses... Start counting because their very good team has at least 10 guys. Strong medal contender here.

Russia has always been competing as Russia in IIHF tournaments.

I think that you are missing my point. Russia is now competing as ROC and no Russian flag is allowed. If you don't believe me, just go check the game highlights of CZE-ROC game from today. It's on youtube.

My point was this: It is confusing when IIHF lists on their official website site Russia as "Russia", while in game it is ROC.

I was wrong. Apparently IIHF has ties with WADA. Then IIHF has screwed up.‎

Good job Russia.. nice push at the end.

I honestly don't have many memories of a guy being that open in the final 20 seconds of a 3 - 3 game.lol That's probably a bench change.. coaching type thing. Or a Czech slipped on a banana peel.

Nice game... I enjoyed it despite the awful ending. Sadly, I just watched us lose to Finland at the U18 in very similar fashion less than a month ago... PTSD is real.haha

Good game Czech Republic, always competitive! It was pretty close.
