Copp is a massive net positive player. I mean really massive when you look at advanced stats adjusted for QoC, QoT, zone starts etc relative to his teammates. The sample size is pretty large as well.

Whatever he's doing there he's doing it extremely well.

I'd certainly want the Oilers to be in on acquiring him if possible.

Coop has this weird friction with the Jets seems like from reading posts on the Jets board. He and Trouba are good friends and he is making social media comments about his move to NYR that maybe will not sit well in the room come fall.

I'd honestly probably do this, if it's for Gagner(I'd even retain 15%). I'd throw them a 3rd round pick in 2021 also. The likelyhood of us trading with the Flames this off-season again is very slim though.

If we are to believe the information around the Lucic deal then Flames traded for him specifically because Lucic had a skill set they wanted.

I cant imagine why they would bother with any of those players.

Dustin Nielsen was on TSN1290 Winnipeg on friday, and dropped some nuggets like Lucic used to ride Jesse hard on the bench in between shifts...constatntly yelling at him.
