I don't want the player, but Portzline tweeted that Hartnell has been their top goal scorer since he got there.
Yup. And hard to call out a players point production on a team that was tanking

I think if you are Minnesota and Fletcher you just give up, fold the team and start another expansion team in Seattle. That team has gone belly up. Playing on borrowed time

With the expansion rules about NMCs, I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of players with NMC that teams might not want to protect get bought out this summer. Could flood the market and help us pick up some decent help for cheaper than normal.
Sure doesn't seem to be a lot of solutions there.
Wild fans seem to think they'll buy out Vanek and everything will be fine...but you'd have to replace him if you buy him out (and only saves 5 million this season), and just tacks 2.5 mil onto your cap the year after. That doesn't solve any of the other problems moving forward.
In 2017/2018, they have 50 million in cap spread over 19 contracts!

??? I don't understand this, I thought Minnesota was printing money in the "State of Hockey"?
I think I may have missed the joke though
Yak for brodin would save them space.
I don't even want brodin.
But granlund-yak could be a neat thing.

I was just about to post this. But you gotta be careful. Id liek to land one NMC D for cheap. But a legit #3 guy
Not actual money. Just in terms of cap space and the team they built. They have a horrible cap situation and very few outs, plus a wave of pain coming. Joke was they should just say screw it and relocate to start all over
Chara could be a good pickup. If Staal is bought out and the asking price is too high on Harmonic, maybe he'd be an option too.
Quick thought here.
Let's say Oilers land 3 and the Leafs 4
Would you trade Yak and the 3rd for JVR and the 4th?
This way we could move a core piece up front for a D-man and have a plug and play player in JVR.
Thoughts?
RNH for Zibanejad and Ottawa 1st (11-12 overall)
Ottawa 1st for Vatanen
So basically RNH for Zibanejad and Vatanen. That gets the Oilers the PP QB defenseman and a much larger and harder to play against replacement center for RNH.
I would do it...I think

Zibanejad is arguably a better player than RNH right now. Certainly brings more physicality and size while putting up similar points and he's defensively sound.

I think I'd rather exploit Jarmo's man crush on the Finns.
Savard
Rychel
Pick (5?)
For 3 and Yak
