Yup,
With the 2010 1st overall pick, the Edmonton Oilers choose...
to have absolutely nothing to show for it
C'est la vie as a Oilers fan

I think he's so angry he's checked out.Is he high?
"Kraken focused on right-handed defensemen" then shows list with one NHL quality right-handed defenseman.
Oleksiak and Soucy are both left-handed.
At the end of the day you need at least ONE shut down guy per side. And right now we have none and none of Bear, Barrie or Bouchard are close to that
The hell are you talking about. I stated earlier that realistic opportunities that were available to Holland would be judged. I've also criticized the Larsson miss. And I'll criticize or praise whatever subsequent moves he makes as they happen. It's not a Hall thing. It's how I choose to judge Holland, which is very simple view that Good GMs get good players build good team. Bad GMs don't. What a radical and ridiculous take right. You actually never addressed it. You have only confirmed that the only signing and only player that you feel this way about is Taylor Hall. Which only proves that this is in fact more about your personal investment in Hall than it is about anything else. You’re not making a stink about any other potential missed opportunity besides Hall. Sorry but I can’t F Off about things that are clear as can be.
For a really good LW that is cost controlled and helps us now??? I’d be ok with that.
I’m not married to Bouchard being an Oiler.
offensively talented RHS Dmen are very rare. Signing Barrie for free and using Bouchard to fill a hole elsewhere could be beneficial to the team in the grand scheme
Did you see Oleksiak's contractCan't believe Holland didn't do a better job selling Oleksiak on Edmonton, even though he couldnt talk to him.
Either can't announce them until tomorrow or want to save SOMETHING for TVI'm wondering if there just hasn't been many trades made with Seattle yet. There's that Giordano/NYR thing, but I haven't seen much else.
I think this is all ridiculous. When it all comes down to it, if he's not seen as a fit for this roster, he can be moved. It has nothing to do with his background. Only idiots would see trading him as poor 'optics'.I see the probability of Bear being dealt being very slim due to the optics of it with how things played out after the season ended. I think having him on the roster is pretty huge for the Indigenous communities in the West and the Oilers are well aware of it. I think it’s really cool to have him on the Oilers and how huge his following is. Plus I think there’s still a really good 2nd pair Dman there.
But if Hall never wanted to come here, which now 3 times in the last year has been the case then how is it a realistic opportunity? The hell are you talking about. I stated earlier that realistic opportunities that were available to Holland would be judged. I've also criticized the Larsson miss. Bettman booed even in Seattle
I feel like it’s just tradition at this pointI’m no fan of his but it makes no sense that they’re booing him.
There’s lots of idiots out there. I’m not saying I would feel that way, but in 2021, with the climate currently you know it would have bad optics.I think this is all ridiculous. When it all comes down to it, if he's not seen as a fit for this roster, he can be moved. It has nothing to do with his background. Only idiots would see trading him as poor 'optics'.
He has never been a shutdown d. He has always been a high event d. Lots of chances against but tons for as wellI do think Nurse is a shut down dman. He just has to babysit Barrie which is a hard task. I agree on the others.
Good GMs make things happen, bad GMs make excuses.Good GMs win the Cup. Bad GMs don't. The league has like 6 good GMs.

I’m going under the assumption that Holland could return a piece of equal value in an area of need. Possibly not a good assumption lol.Trading Bouchard at this point would be an unforced error. We've already spent a lot of time developing him.
The price he'd get would not be worth the time and effort imparted upon him.
I'm just surprised we haven't tried to convert either Bear or Bouchard to play off-hand.
I hope the Kraken are dogshit for 20 years.
