Being done on D and focusing on low-cost additions to the forward group makes the most sense.
No more f***ing buyouts. Pay other teams to take the player, but please no more buyouts. They’ve been biting us in the ass since the Pouliot buyout in 2017.The buyout is not that bad.
Team saves between 2-3.5 mil per year over the next 4 years (the duration of the contract) . Then there is a residual 1.5 or mil cap hit for the next 4 years after that (once the contract would be over). Just a bit after the Neal buyout comes off the books.
A really easy contract to buy out of if needed.
Okay, he gets suspended and then we just have the same roster we did now.I generally just troll on here but in regards to Tom Wilson, I would love him playing here but would question him taking a stupid suspension in the middle of the playoffs. If he did stupid stuff in the east, imagine how amped up he would be against Calgary?
Moving 1 year of a 5 mill contract costs around a 1st. You think 4 firsts is worth 1.5 mill a year for 8 years? No more f***ing buyouts. Pay other teams to take the player, but please no more buyouts. They’ve been biting us in the ass since the Pouliot buyout in 2017.
All the buyout Holland did was cleaning up Chia's messA Kenny Holland special, wanting to immdeatly buy out or get rid of long term deals he signed less than a year ago.

The problem here too is that there's no immediate replacement for him. All we can do is hope Campbell lives up to his end of the deal.Ken gets to wear the goathorns for Campbell either way, but he would honestly earn some respect from me if he had the stones to man up to his mistake and buy that contract out this summer.
It's not going to happen, though.
I’d rather do everything possible to salvage the asset first, then try to move it. I’d rather they pay + retain to move him than buy out the contract.Moving 1 year of a 5 mill contract costs around a 1st. You think 4 firsts is worth 1.5 mill a year for 8 years?
It seems like the Coyotes have been entirely unwilling to retain on Chychrun. Can’t imagine they’d retain on Schmaltz who makes more money and is signed for longer.
Like I said after watching Hollands interview yesterday even before the Ekholm deal. This MF is all in this year expect one more big move.Johnston: Teams are being very bold, pushing their chips in, including the Oilers
Yeah I think he’s starting to piss other gms off by the sounds of it. Kind of getting the feeling he just doesn’t want to trade Chychrun, and set the price so high so no team will pay it.They also apparently dont want to take on other contracts. Armstrong seems like a bit of a dud.
Markstrom was a Vezina caliber goaltender last year and is the worst goalie in the league this year. It's safe to say that the real Markstrom lies somewhat in the middle.
Campbell is having a rough year. Rough years happen for goalies.
It's not even being remotely considered, because it is...... just outright stupid to judge that deal on a 31 game stretch of hockey.
OMG LOL. This would be so ridiculous if LA and Vegas face each other in the playoffs.
All 4 of them. 5.When I got that EMS test alert on my phone, I thought the Oilers had made a trade

Well at least Holland is up from his nap now. When I got that EMS test alert on my phone, I thought the Oilers had made a trade
