Can't wait to see the day Tullio gets called up to play with his idol Connor "Cheatcode" McDavid

I don't usually post anything source wise, but I've heard something interesting.

My source if you want to call it that says the Oilers are done on D unless they get an offer they can't refuse and are looking at forwards, primarily on the wing moreso than C. The three names dropped were Wilson, Vrana, and Bertuzzi.
Vrana would be excellent if they feel he is getting past whatever the personal issue was. All for giving people chances, ala kassian.

Being done on D makes sense. The RH side is where upgrades are needed and more will shake loose in the summer, currently not a whole lot left on the market.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ceci get moved for an upgrade.

Nurse-???
Ekholm-Bouchard
Kulak/Broberg-Desharnais

That's a ways away though

Yeah if anything we are using a stop gap for Rd for this season and looking to land a top guy in the offseason

I’m hoping Kenny has a hard on for EK like I do. Ditch Ceci, Kulak, Yamo and maybe fit him in in the off season. Ideally get rid of Campbell too even if you buy him out. Can’t have a single bad contract

Yamo, Ceci, and picks for Bennett and Gudas (retention to equalize money) does make some sense. Bennett brings it in the playoffs and puts our top 6 over the top. Could play mcdrai together even.

Kane McDavid Drai
RNH Bennett Hyman
Foegele McLeod Janmark
Kostin Ryan

Or spit them into pairs

Just after a caller, Stauffer was saying he expects 1 move and potentially 2 for forwards. He expects they’re done on D (which I’m okay with, personally)
I would think if we add on defense its more because something came up. I would put klingberg double retention in this as one.

Just curious what’s available up front.

As someone who has Wilson in my banger league, he is great for hits and PIMs. Not great on the ol' +/-

To be honest, I like Bouchard with Ekholm. Bouchard exploded last year with Keith who was past his prime. Imagine him with Ekholm who is faster and a really good passer not to mention his other amazing qualities

A Campbell buyout = 8 years of a bad contract that can’t be moved.

The buyout is not that bad.

Team saves between 2-3.5 mil per year over the next 4 years (the duration of the contract) . Then there is a residual 1.5 million or so cap hit for the next 4 years after that (once the contract would be over).

A really easy contract to buy out of if needed.

I generally just troll on here but in regards to Tom Wilson, I would love him playing here but would question him taking a stupid suspension in the middle of the playoffs. If he did stupid stuff in the east, imagine how amped up he would be against Calgary?
