He has a no movement clause lol. He can't be traded unless he wants to and I don't see any reason he would want to.

That isn’t the way I meant it and I appreciate the apology.I didn’t think that was overly harsh compared to the drive by gotcha attempt, but if that wasn’t how you meant it, then I apologize
That’s certainly a fair criticism. But that’s also pretty similar to how people were talking about Nurse just last year. I’d just rather target a guy who has the size and skill but struggles to consistently put it together over waiting a picking up a plug with limited upside
I agree it would be a pure rental and I wouldn’t want to pay a lot but if you’re going to get a goalie I think he’s the guy. A lot of the names I see thrown around I don’t think are clearly better than PickardCan't argue with the numbers, he's obviously an elite goalie in this League. With stats like his, he'll be amongst the most expensive assets on the market. And with stats like his, he'll test free agency and get paid. It would be a pure rental for us.
Vinny was solid here but he’s a 1 million dollar guy. I was a fan but I completely support the decision to walk.he is the one guy we lost that we have not moaned about
Not really honestly. We have a wealth of forwards I really don’t understand wanting to add anything there honestly.Any interest in bringing back Nick Bjugstad ? I think him and Henrique would be great bottom six centers.
Stop dousing my dreams.
I'm not all that convinced with his decent numbers, and excellent contract, that he would be all that cheap to acquire unfortunately.I agree it would be a pure rental and I wouldn’t want to pay a lot but if you’re going to get a goalie I think he’s the guy. I’m honesty unsure. I think goalie markets are fickle and it’ll depend who else is looking for a goalie (Carolina?). If there isn’t much of a market and they don’t think they will re-sign him then maybe there’s an opportunity there.I'm not all that convinced with his decent numbers, and excellent contract, that he would be all that cheap to acquire unfortunately.
Would love for you to be right as he would quite an upgrade over Pickard I think. Just not sure if they would even want to trade him unless it was for a pretty solid return. If all goes well, that is an insane top 12Kapanen-McDavid-Hyman
Podkolzin-Draisaitl-Arvidsson
Kane-RNH-Skinner
Janmark-Henrique-Brown
Perry, Ryan
Anyone say something about this?Under the radar trade coming for the Oilers?
Doubtful we see a trade before the new year.Under the radar trade coming for the Oilers?
I’m starting to think the best move might be to trade for the best centre you can get. I’m sure it will be a replacement for Stecher, but imagine adding another top six centre to the mix using this years second and a first, and bumping Ryan out of the lineup. The forward group would be absolutely stacked.
I’m sorry, but what? You have Mcdavid, Drai, RNH, Henrique, not including Ryan. It’s nice to have depth, but why in the world would you use another 1st and 2nd to upgrade centre?I’m starting to think the best move might be to trade for the best centre you can get. I’m sure it will be a replacement for Stecher, but imagine adding another top six centre to the mix using this years second and a first, and bumping Ryan out of the lineup. Oh now you've gone and triggered me.....I’m starting to think the best move might be to trade for the best centre you can get. Earlier in the year I was of the opinion that a Skinner trade had zero chance of happening. But as the seasons gone on I’ve had a bit of a change of opinion. All the NMC means is he’s got full control over any move that could potentially happen. There’s definitely a chance he could just decide he’s riding it out here to break his playoff drought like he came here to do. But if he continues to struggle to adapt to the lineup here and hover around 12-13 minutes a night, maybe even less as the team gets healthier, he might be open to a move to a bubble team looking for a goal scoring punch in their top 6. Because if it gets to the point where he’s playing sub 10 minutes down the stretch and even potentially getting healthy scratched come playoff time it’s going to put him in a pretty brutal place for finding a new team to pay him anything worthwhile next summer. He might take a 20 game tryout getting way more ice time to put some more positive film out there. He has a no movement clause lol. He can't be traded unless he wants to and I don't see any reason he would want to.
My wish there would be Brock Nelson if the Isles are out of it
For C at this point, Id rather find a really good 2-way bottom 6 C that's a big upgrade on Ryan. I do think for a long playoff run, that, along with the top 4 We keep hearing about it, will go a long wayI’m starting to think the best move might be to trade for the best centre you can get. I’m sure it will be a replacement for Stecher, but imagine adding another top six centre to the mix using this years second and a first, and bumping Ryan out of the lineup.
