Rangers have lost 6 out of their last 7 games. What would you do if you were Dolan (the owner of the team) or Drury (the GM)?

Don't care, I'm a fan, I watch for entertainment and out of love not to be a keyboard warrior about how many 123 XYZ's my favorite sportsball team has won. It's not coming out of my pay and I'm not some betting freak.

If Drury and the Rangers plan on pulling a New Jorsey Debbies and taking a year off to get a lottery pick and some money to spend, so be it. They'll be back soon enough to dogfight with the rest of the Metropolitan.
Yet you carried on about breaking hearts and things working when they haven’t. So, which is it?

I caught today's highlights and... yeah. It's not even that they're trying to do something and doing it poorly, or maybe doing the wrong thing for the team they have, it's that I can't actually tell what they're trying to do/be as a team. They seem like they have no identity and for me that very much starts with the coach.

They should have gone all in on Eichel.

A year? My man, outside of the Herculean Hall season, NJ have had several years off lmao.
They DID go all in on Eichel but the Pegulas, out of spite, absolutely f***ED the NYR because of a petty media feud strung up by fans. It was ridiculous. Then BUF trades Jack for literal peanuts (minus Tuch) out to Vegas. Rangers get shafted even when they're actively trying to do some real business. That's how it's been since forever. Certain GMs don't want to do business with a market like NY because it's too many eyes.
Had the Sabres agreed to the Rangers offer they'd be sitting pretty here with guys like Buchnevich and possibly Laf and the Rangers most likely would've had a cup in 22' or this year, it would've been a win-win.

Same type of thing will happen with Brady Tkachuk, he will finally ask out, Rangers will press hard with a huge overpay offer but of course Ottawa out of spite will turn their heads and walk away and probably gift him to the Devils or Flyers. Heaven forbid an asset you like goes to the Rangers. That just can't happen.

Why would the Pegulas want to screw the Rangers? I think you're being paranoid here and have no proof anything in your post is true.

Must be tough. Teams not trading you their best players for pennies on the dollar. JFC.

This is absolute bullshit: the rainjuhz were offering us a pile of worthless junk (go check out what was being offered: Laff, Kaako and anyone of any real value was off the table, Tuch alone was a million times better than anyone you were offering) with your arrogant bullshit attitude that every other team in the league is just a feeder club for you that MUST give their best players to the almighty rainjuhz. And now they are trying to pull the same shit on Ottawa with their fanboy stooge in the Post and good on the Sens owner for calling them on it. And people wonder how the Isles ended up my second favorite team.

Same thing over and over again with Laviolette. Usually great first year then it all falls apart. Fire him (and Drury). It's obvious that the team are playing shit just to get him canned.
The core has done this with 3 previous coaches. Why not they take some accountability and play better. Doing the above is more of the same, does not improve the team at all

Our rebuild time took 5 years, maybe even longer than that, not sure how you get a year lmao. And if you think the Rangers are a one year fix with the 1 and 2C's being virtually checked out and the back end in utter shambles, yikes......

Gallant was a shit coach but he called the core out when they lost to NJ, it's a shame that management truly believed the players over him.

Perhaps they can force a defender to accept a trade by threatening to put him on waivers. Should help morale.

The Rangers "rebuild on the fly" unironically worked though and that's what makes fans of rival teams seethe more than anything else, the fact that the Rangers with all all their imperfections, muh "fugazi's", managed to go to the ECF 2 out of the 3 years of contention, 2 wins from the finals, and they broke the hearts of Carolina/Pitt/WSH on the way.

Worth it.
You guys have really low expectations if that's your definition of it being successful and having worked.

Right? On top of 2 of your 3 super high-end talents forcing their way to only said team, and major lottery luck (well - at least winning the lotteries!).

Sure other teams are jealous - not because of some amazing thing Rangers did or earned. They got there just by being the main New York team.

I'd call Laff and Kaako busting karma for landing Fox and Panarin the way it happened. And I'd still take it.
