Like both players but who they getting rid of? When Kane and RV come back there will be some hard decisions already. Ryan the obvious choice and likely Kapanen when at full roster. I can’t see them sitting Brown and/or Janmark, maybe Perry?
I mean it's just a rotation, more depth more options, I also assume Ryan goes out

I mean honestly, back to Nashville, could be a gentle landing spot for RV. Kapanen has been effective in RVs spot at 1/4 the cost.

The Oilers should spend some assets to get Colton Sissons (at 25% on the cap) and Michael McCarron (at 50% on the cap) to fill out the bottom-6
I'd skip on Sissons, but I'm down for McCarron and teams only have so many retention slots asking for retention on a $900K player with term left isn't something I think they are likely to do.

Same but I’m also seeing why teams give up on him, there’s a player there but he sometimes leaves me wanting to see more. Either way he’s great depth waiting for Kane and RV to come back.
They're not gonna get rid of a winger with speed who has been contributing when o e of the players you're talking about us a walking bandaid. It's the type of situation where the moment you get rid of kapanen arvidsson gets hurt again.

Kapanen is noted for playing his best hockey upon joining a new team, both Pitt and the Blues got this Kapanen and were happy with him, but it didn't last.

Yeah I’m not getting rid of Kapanen.

Not sure the salary would work.

If we are getting another goalie to tandem with Skinner my pick would be Karel Vejmelka. Pending UFA. Small cap hit. Don’t know what the price would be but goalies typically aren’t too expensive.

Pickard has done well but I don’t think you can expect him to fully take over if Skinner falters. Best is he can come in so Skinner can reset like in the Vancouver series.

Definitely get McCarron….what a contrast to Ryan and Henrique. Would really boost the Center depth and give his wingers more space.
I have doubts that Henrique can flip a switch for the playoffs and regain last years’s form. Couple that with Ryan being a non-presence on the ice, it leaves the Center role really wanting.

I don’t really see how a non playoff team spending draft picks to add an old d-man is a good risk. He has a 4 team trade list clause, flipping him could be difficult.

Pretty crazy that Edmonton has more draft capital AND in a better cap situation than the Blues.

Can't argue with the numbers, he's obviously an elite goalie in this League. With stats like his, he'll be amongst the most expensive assets on the market. And with stats like his, he'll test free agency and get paid. It would be a pure rental for us.

Don't think we should be so quick to write off Skinner. 4 points in his last 5 games with no real top 6 time in that stretch, one shot scorers can break open or tip the scales in a game very quickly. Even Perry is playing decent to good hockey still.
