He may have his warts this season, but in no way is Bouchard having an abysmal season. Let's not forget how dynamic he was last playoffs against the likes of Heiskanen or Hughes.

Bouchard will be fine.

Hilarious how bad Edmonton fans are at deciphering actual good dmen. Bouchard has better metrics than Makar and Hughes and still fans want him traded or benched. He out played every single dman in the playoffs this year and of the Oilers pull have won the cup- was in conversation for the Smythe. He’s relied on so heavily on the backend to transition the puck. Hell even Ekholm defers to him. This is why we can’t have nice things

The analytics just don't make sense on this guy. Even last night he turned the puck over too much, it just didn't end up in our net.

He played poor and got demoted.

Even in the Ozone in the 3rd when he was driving the net with the puck on his stick in the slot he was too slow and got caught from behind. (it's nit picking, but a true elite offensive guy finishes that play)

They make sense, he just has struggle and makes mistakes. I think your eye-test and recency bias might be playing a lot more.

I'm sorry, but its hilarious how many Edmonton fans (not all) overrate this guy.

He's been horrible this season and some of you give him some sort of immunity and think he's a superstar.

How much worse does he need to play for ya'll to see this?

I don't see how you get recency bias out of this. I was the one who called this coming last year when pretty much everyone else thought this guy was a team Canada lock, top 3 for the Norris, just a budding superstar etc.

He's a good offensive defensemen. He's just not an elite player, nor should he be paid like one.

Bouchard is obviously very good, but no metric can measure some of his MAB-esque f***ups.

Not saying move him or anything but his decision making at times is questionable to put it nicely.

Sure, but you're also just wrong and that's fine.

If the Canucks flounder this year, I wonder if they would move Lankinen

The bottom half of the conference isn't good enough for it to get that bad for them IMO.

Vancouver isn't good but they only need to beat out Calgary(lol) and Utah for a playoff spot. Utah is underrated but at the very worst the Canucks will remain in the hunt through to the end.
