As much as we hate the Canucks and flames, isn't it better for them to be good enough to make the playoffs while we're in the playoffs?

Doesn't that make the whole playoff experience that much more exciting?

I'd much rather beat the flames or the Canucks than the Kings ducks sharks or Knights.

In fairness to management, we need to wait to judge them until after they trade the NYR first round pick. This is just the halfway point of the deal. Its probably going to still end up bad, but let's see who they can land with the first.

It just goes to show how many crappy GM's there are in the NHL. I'm not even sold on Stan Bowman yet but just look at how many crappy GM's we had to get through to get back into the playoffs.

We see teams fall apart like this way too often.

Last time we faced Calgary in the playoffs, I was so damn excited. So many people on HFboards had been born since we last had a battle of alberta in the playoffs.
