Sometimes miracles
Because they're trading Vejmelka to Edmonton? Come on Karel.
Pickard+2nd should be enough. Pickard is still a good backup. 4th to get Utah to retain 50%Vejmelka to Edmonton would be pretty sweet. I know nothing about the guy, do we know what the rough asking price would be? what would it cost to extend him?

I'm right there with you.I wish.
For the record, there are cases where Seravalli has been wrong. I know he’s recently brought up that Kane may not being out for the entire season, but I just refuse to believe that’s true given everything we’ve seen from this team, including waiting until the end of the summer to get surgery and then following that up with another procedure while in rehab.

I've seen a lot of chest thumping but the fat lady hasn't sung yet.Love the Americans thumping their chests about McCavoy's and Tkatchuk's "physical domination" (oh brother) over Canada, when probably none of them are going to play in the final game because they got themselves injured. USA honouring themselves before the outcome is determined: there's a metaphor in there somewhere.
To be fair, I'd be gloating pretty hard too if Canada won that game. USA is going to have a pretty tough hill to climb if Tkatchuks and McCavoy are out, and Makar is in, on top of the fact that it's already going to be difficult to beat Canada twice in this tournament. I can't believe how interested I am in this stupid tournament, but here I am. The Olympics are going to be nuts.I've seen a lot of chest thumping but the fat lady hasn't sung yet.
I am not sure that blindly is accurate (they would have had as much intel as possible) but there is risk for sure. That's fair and I would agree, but to act as if the team is blindly assuming Klingberg the #4 right now is idiotic honestly.

The players have pulled us all into it with their enthusiasm and intensity, no question. And of course, it doesn't hurt to have a some pure villains on the other side along with a backdrop of their crazy ass president doing dumb shit against our country.I feel exactly the same way.![]()
Every year we get the same hype train from these guys. “Shaping up to be one of the busier trade deadline days in several years” just to see big names move days or a couple weeks in advance and their show is a snooze fest-lol. These 10 days or whatever it is the league is down for gives the GMs lots of time to circle back to previous discussions and initiate new ones, but I agree any trades at this time will take attention away from this tournament.I mean that would make sense, trades should come together more easily over the break. Again, I think this is the league not wanting things over shadowed? Maybe all the trades drop the day after the final?
Theodore done for the tourney Vegas just scores there LTIR relief![]()
Well Frank said it wasn’t going to impact his ability to play. He was clearly wrongSo they're mad that Frank said what the Bruins said, but the Bruins (because they can) confirmed he wasn't playing? What am I missing here?
Did he? He said it wasn't considered serious (which is clearly something someone told him) and his status for the tournament wasn't certain.Well Frank said it wasn’t going to impact his ability to play. He was clearly wrong
boring hockey returns this SaturdayI can't wait until this tournament is over
But it features Leon, which we can all agree everyone misses.boring hockey returns this Saturday
sure but is a random February game, not exactly Game 1 of the playoffsBut it features Leon, which we can all agree everyone misses.
I've come around to the argument that Vegas doesn't have the assets anymore to effect their usual plan, which has probably finally caught up to them. I know people say they will always find away, but I don't think so this year. They simply don't have the trade chips to bring in a big-name player in what's going to be a competitive trade market. Is their 2027 1st and Zach Whitecloud really going to beat out a package from Edmonton or LA or Dallas for the player they're all after?![]()
Right after Theodore banged his wrist.
