Jimmy sorry for taking so long to reply.
Perhaps you have been listening to the background noise here too much.

Yes Nurse is not a complete number 1. He has trouble head manning the puck out of the D zone and yes he once in a while has a major brain fart (mostly related to his vision in passing).
BUT he does bring things that are hard to find or replace.
He can log big minutes. He can get on his horse and skate the puck out of the zone and is hard to stop when he gets going. He can fight really well on the half wall and gain possession. He has learned to keep his temper in check for the most part. He has a very accurate shot from the point and can play the power play and keep the puck in the O zone and can get back fast enough to cover.
And yes he has grit and quality pugilistic ability.
These are the reasons Holland was forced to bend over.
Remember before the Chicago series how well Nurse -- Bear were playing. We really thought we had something. Yes Bear could skate (forwards very well) and had great passing. Yes some assistant general manager from Chicago watched alot of tape and found out Bear had trouble skating backwards and closing gaps when he got there and poof that was the end of that.
BUT I encourage you not to throw out the baby with the bath water. (no i'm not saying Nurse is a big baby). Instead find him a defensive Dman that can headman the puck and pass it to him in the ozone and cover his brain farts. I think you can find this guy fairly cheap cause he doesn't need to be great two way and doesn't need exceptional vision just needs to be above average defensively and it would be nice if it was a pretty gritty guy too.
An example of what a good complementary player can do for his partner ....Look what Eks did for Bouch. I know its not the same situation Jimmy its an example.
Big minutes = big waste. I watch every game. He sucks. He wishes to be Seth Jones or Quinn Hughes but he suffers from imposter syndrome. AKA he cant do shit without actually being challenged in a game. He plays mind games with his teammates too. Single vision passing plays. He is stupid. Obsolete. A buyout would be too kind to him.

I haven’t watched him at all this year, he must have really digressed to get waived. At 2.5M we need to be certain he’s an upgrade.
Got the same problems he has always had. Can't tell when to pinch or not to. Not strong enough to handle the big forwards. He is Tyson Barrie in the D zone. Opposing coaches tell their forwards to dump it to his corner.
Imaging the defensive disaster of a Nurse-Fabbro pairing makes me want to puke.

Yes he is trying to do things he shouldn't be and needs to limited to what he can do well but wow your response is tooo oo emotional. Maybe you should consider your preferred stress reliever.
Or is it that im not emotional enough?

Because he's a top-4 RHD, an absolute upgrade on all the guys here and has a reasonable cap number. It's idiotic to not claim him, utterly idiotic

The Connor Brown $3 million bonus "I don't give a crap about next year" going away present from Holland keeps screwing us over.

Waivers claim order starts from current standings as of when? Or are we still going from last years standings?

Either way I doubt Fabbro will be around by the time we can claim him.

Changes to current standings as of November 1st, so there’s 9 teams plus Nashville ahead of the Oilers in the claim priority order.

Unless he's absolutely fallen off a cliff, or he's got locker room issues, he's a clear upgrade over Stetcher, Dermott, and Emberson. Absolute no brainer in my opinion. I think Trotz is sending a message.
Yup. He already said if things don't get better he will look at rebuilding haha. I like that no nonsense sh**. Then NSH loses 2 in a row after he says that.

I know we question our asset management but the Preds have been doing some weird things.

Lost Tolvanen for nothing a couple of seasons ago and now are going to lose Fabbro for nothing.

Could they not have traded him?
