Read it on Red Wings forum, then when I read it was surprised I missed out on this discussion over here, so I assumed it was old news. I'll try to look it up though.

I can't seem to find the exact quote I read but I found this from around here:

"I hate to say it but Campbell was almost definitely drinking when he was here.

You don't develop a substance abuse problem so bad you end up in rehab within a year.

Maybe I assumed the drinking part, I don't think the Players Assistance Program would ever release details like that so it will only be rumours. But I always thought he was slurred in speech and talked like an alcoholic.
