Just think about that conversation.

"Yeah Ron, we're willing to move on from our underperforming cancer but if you're interested we're gonna need Sidney Crosby in return."
Given the intellect of both of those involved, it could be the opposite too.

"Hey Patrik, Sorry, but I already traded Teddy Blueger in a different deal"
"Well Ron, I guess there's nothing else to talk about then..."

The area around McDs place is MUCH nicer than his house.
Agree here. Not a big big fan of some of the newer designes and McD's place and interior really lacks color. Its that designer shtick from his wife rather than what I would think of as a manspace. I mean they even have Warhol stuff. blech.

Used to live in the west end and some of my favorite cycling and streetscapes are in that area.

As a kid growing up here going to where Storyland Valley zoo and Laurier park was always a treat type of area to visit. lol we were in Jasper Place. So Laurier area was definitely how the other half lived. ;)

Houses are the eye of the beholder. I like his house. I just built a new house and I have a lot of light wood, black, etc in it. Not crazy black like his. I like the farmhouse/modern look

I have friends who love dark cabinets, cherrywood kind of stuff. I hate that stuff. Some people like their houses to look like the Cosmopolitan hotel inside lol. Can't stand that shiny crap.
Ive been inside it. Modern look isn't bad it just feels very unlived in and the lack of yard is super unfortunate.

The thing I have always hated about super fancy houses is they just always look like a showhome inside and out. No real character, no life, no...lived in feel.

Like I kind of love walking into a house and seeing random knick knacks on a shelf, or where you can tell someone didn't perfectly fill in a hole in the drywall. It gives a home history and life.

This was exactly my thought. I hope they get right in the river valley or one of the many beautiful ravines that access river valley.

But lots of great access in Southside as well anything from Windermere, Riverbend, Keswick, Sask Drive all the way to Strathearn.

I do a lot of walking and hiking so I know some places are so close to river valley you can touch it from the back yard.

The access from West end often involves steep stairways which may not be best. But from south side many properties back right into the river valley and are more in it.

I know where McD's place is and have walked around there a lot. Nice area but you can get closer to river and trails than that. Crestwood? Nah.
Ya lots of choices.

I was lucky enough to move into that area (basic bungalow). I never knew how awesome the river valley is. Some of the forest trails make you feel like you aren’t in a city. We’ve bought kayaks to use on the river too.

I think Ekholm will really enjoy the city. People like to crap on our city but it’s really beautiful if you like to get outdoors.

Well, TFP was the first to confirm. Guess they aren't totally unconnected as some like to say...

And mountains, plenty of skiing, lots of winter sports.

If he has an outdoorsy family, a great place to live. If they want beaches, bad place to live.

Cap is only going up $1MM this year right?

Question why so low with the revenues now (including the amount the players owe) isnt there room for a fairly sizeable increase?
