Gimme Zadina. More than $1m cheaper, younger, term left and plenty of time playing on checking line.

Gurianov is another guy that isn't going to be qualified at the end of the year.

I'd prefer a guy with no term.

Either trade for a draft pick or trade for a guy making 2mil or less whos a UFA/RFA.

"Man I totally forget, did teams just used by buy all the good players, because that doesn't seem like it would happen. Just look at baseball, no one team dramatically out spending entire markets, nope, nice and level"

SO f***ing stupid, keep the hard cap please.

I don’t necessarily disagree and I could be wrong but I recall spending like drunken sailors didn’t help rich teams like the Leafs, as an example

If he doesn't, he's just another replacement level bottom six guy making more than double what he should.

If we're gambling, it better be on guys on contracts like Kostin's.
$1.825M is not that bad. James Neal's dead cap is more than that lol

There was plenty of NHL talent out there for $750k. It's nothing like gambling on Euro UFAs.

They didn't have to let him walk. They could have traded him. Like I said, there was a bunch of interest, but Holland chose not to move him.
Kahun was a nhl player when we took a gamble on him

Absolutely laughable if Matthews tops Mackinnon lol. That Matthews contract is really going to make us pay for McDavid. Matthews looks like a half nothing player this year as well.
LOL at Matthews getting paid the same as McDavid. He should be paid like RNH. RNH may put up better numbers this year and you still won't here a peep about him on TSN or Sportnet.

That is true, but what it did was to make it tough for many teams to keep their best players.

I suspect that the luxury tax system mighty not hurt the Oilers as much today as it would have under Pocklington or the EIG. They might even benefit somewhat. But it would be bad for the league I think.
