Rumor: Rumors & Proposals Thread | If Babcock is Our New Coach Will Players Want to Come Here?

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Think Canes can pull a fast one on teams selling high on him. Guy had like 80% offensive zone starts/on the fly starts in playoffs to be able to keep his head above water.

Very interesting. I really liked him when I watched, underlyings not as strong. I guess if Carolina is selling, its def buyer beware. Shrewd franchise.

This is Stan Bowman/ Jeff Jackson after all. Isn't that exactly what they did with Skinner? (except at a higher cap hit lol)
Yeah, it is. Even worse, they took an expiring contract and turned it into one with extra years on it. You can at least argue that Ristolainen gets you out of the regrettable consequences of the Nurse contract sooner, the worst part being you have to have Ristolainen on your roster for a couple of years.

The summer rumors of Nurse for Jarry made a bit of sense, the deal they actually made was just horrific for the franchise.

Hopefully he takes his playoff prowess to the Leafs

Montreal having insane luck in net made a lot of players look bad, on Tampa and Buffalo. Tuch was pretty good in the first round still. He has actually scored a GWG in 10% of his career playoff games too. McDavid 5%, Drai 8%. I actually remember him as usually being a standout in playoffs as a solid 2-way forward, even with Vegas when he was much more of a depth guy, he didn't really break out until he was with Buffalo.
