Nah they will sign or trade for middling fwds and D this summer luck out next year by getting back into the playoffs. Calgary fans will be insufferable again claiming him a genius. I'm still hoping we make a splash for a top 6 forward or 2RHD but if all we get is a 7th depth d man, then I will lose it.
Ken Holland, do the team the right thing after they worked their asses off to get to where they are after the early debacle from this season, and acquire a player like Buchnevich.

You can't convince me that acquiring Henrique, Carick, and a 7th dman is worthy of praises if other teams especially in the conference and division make better moves.

We all said it this summer when the Flames cheaped out and hired the guy who would work for the least amount of money, that it would be an absolute train wreck. And here we are. I mean I'm glad that the Flames won't be relevant for the foreseeable future, but really, these trades need to pass some sort of smell test. Even video games would reject this trade.
