You’re kinda proving my point for me with the Columbus example. They went all in and I guess if you consider beating Tampa in the first round and then losing in the second a success then yeah it all worked out for them. But in reality it didn’t work out and they pretty much immediately went into the toilet after that so great call by them there.

Haven’t the Oilers been scouting the Jackets heavily the last while? Provorov and Roslovic at 25% would be right around Ceci + Foegele’s combined hit. Roslovic has a lot of the same attributes Foegele does but is right handed. Would balance things out a bit up front. 11 points in his last 10 games since being moved up he lineup and playing with more skilled linemates.

Holloway+ for Marchenko would also be an interesting move to shore up the 2nd line. Provorov+Marchenko package would actually be ideal I think.

Boquist for Foegele is also a cap wash. Seeing we have 14 forwards currently that might make sense. Could go 11/7 and have some nice platoon minutes to spread out between Desi/Boquist/Ceci. I think Holland would opt for the vet Provorov over an inexperienced Boquist though.
