Wasn't my top target, but he's definitely a talented and flexible player. Can play multiple positions and in multiple places of the lineup. Doesn't need to lean on power play time to produce.

Poor man's RNH.

He's also one of Taylor Hall's old teammates from Windsor IIRC. I wonder how much he knows about building houses... :sarcasm:

This is what we need. A top 6 sniper would be nice too, but we need better support player. We have superstars

With a third party reportedly involved, this will be double retention and the first is definitely in the deal.

Which I think leaves a Sean Walker type deal in the next couple days as the high end.

Love the Hnerique pickup, meh on Carrick but it's fine. This makes me think that the Oilers gave up a 1st since it was 2 players and double retention which isn't so great but...whatever. Lets get a Dman and go for this Cup.

I would love that, but he signed in Anaheim because the playoffs was too stressful.

He's not a game breaker, but he's a veteran who's played alot of playoff hockey and won a cup.

He's also still productive, he just improves the depth of the forward group.
He has not won a cup

Last week I recall a tweet suggesting the price for Henrique was like, 2nd + 3rd, and then another pick for retention from 3rd party. We're kinda low on mid round picks, so some benefit of dealing with the Ducks would be their team getting plenty of opportunity to see the Condors.

Postulating 2nd '24 + prospect to Anaheim, 4th '25 to 3rd party for retention.

Thread for the deal is up.
