I honestly don’t think he will be the 3c
I think they want to run
Drai - McDavid - Hyman
RNH- Henrique - Kane

Yeah I don't think so either. We're playing freaking Janmark in our top 6 right now. Henrique would go straight to the top 6.

I don't disagree with anything you say. I just don't think it is a deal that gets done by Friday. That said one thing to remember is that teams are only allowed 3 retention slots. Parayko would tie one up for 6 years. They have a couple of other guys they may want to move on from in the next few years. If during that time they decide to retool that slot does have some additional value to them.
Parayko has been in trade speculation for year(s). This likely isn't a deal framework cooked up over days but quite possible one that's been discussed going back a season where Holland aggressively turned over every stone looking for top 4 D. He and Armstrong have a deep professional relationship. The St. Louis beat writer was on record last year stating a source confirmed Parayko would approve a trade to his hometown team.

The retention spots only have value if they are used. Having it leverage a $30 million+ cash and cap savings is arguably a great use that enables maximum flexibility to effectively retool away from an expensive, old d-corp with 5 no-trade contracts. This is a 12+ consortia ownership group maybe not unlike the old OEG where bottom line is part of the consideration. Lead owner is a lawyer, beer distributor. Only speculating their pockets aren't as deep as some of the real big money owned franchises...

Low likely for sure. But very solid foundation business wise and at state of their team in transition.

Please let Gudas be included in the Henrique deal too.
I would love that, but he signed in Anaheim because the playoffs was too stressful.

Haven't really watched Anaheim. Does AH move the needle much?
He's not a game breaker, but he's a veteran who's played alot of playoff hockey and won a cup.

He's also still productive, he just improves the depth of the forward group.

Henrique has had a lot of success as a winger. Maybe he’s the top 6 add and then the Oilers go for a Laughton Walker package. Ceci could go to the Ducks as they need a veteran D.

Henrique McDavid Hyman
Nuge Drai Foegele
Kane Laughton Perry
Holloway/Janmark McLeod Brown

This is exactly why I believe he is the target that KH is after and everything else is just smoke and mirrors

Wasn't my top target, but he's definitely a talented and flexible player. Can play multiple positions and in multiple places of the lineup. Doesn't need to lean on power play time to produce.

Poor man's RNH.
